Youko Aragaki (新垣阳子, Aragaki Youko^?) is a main character in Digimon New Century. Her partner is Lunamon.

Description

Youko was born in Okinawa.

She has been close to nature since she was a child and loves the sea very much.

Her favorite food is umibudo, and her least favorite food is bitter gourd. Her favorite gift is anything related to Alice Yazawa.

Owning a "strange" Digivice, this young girl wears dresses that one can tell she is a fan of the popular idol Alice Yazawa, and she speaks with a verbal tic, "deshuō" She is a genki girl with a lively and cheerful personality, although she's a bit nervous. Although Youko doesn't seem to be interested in fighting for some reason, her strength is unexpectedly strong. She and Lunamon can be regarded as complementary to each other.

Youko only participated in the Digital Competition tournament in order to get close to Alice. Unlike Alice’s "fanatic fans", Youko can get along with Alice in the attitude of an ordinary person, which makes Alice, who never had a friend of the same age as her, feel the value of friendship.

Fiction

When Youko was 4 years old, she fell into the Digital World from the rift in the Internet and became good friends with Crescemon. At the critical moment when Youko encountered danger, Crescemon digivolved into Dianamon to protect her, and Youko also got the proof of the bond between her and Dianamon - a D-Seed. However, when Youko returned to the human world, she left the D-Seed in the Digital World. With the passage of time, she also forgot this memory, until Lunamon, who had degenerated from Crescemon, came back to Youko with the D-Seed two years later.

At some point, Youko entered the Digital Competition tournament in order to get close to Alice, and ended up befriending the Idol — much to Youko's delight.

Nine years after reuniting with Lunamon, Youko and Lunamon meet the Protagonist, Satoru Sakamoto, and Agumon. They battle them and lose.

Lunamon had not directly told Youko of their previous memories and though Lunamon had digivolved to Lekismon in the battle with Devimon, Youko knew from Lekismon's words that this was not the first time it had digivolved, but didn't want to disclose any more information.

Some time later, they are about to have a rematch with the Protagonsit, with Lunamon about to digivolve, but Lunamon stops the digivolution when Alice and Lalamon arrive due to Youko no longer caring about the battle as she was fangirling over Alice instead.

Shortly afterwards they have their rematch, with Lunamon digivolving to Lekismon. They are defeated once again, however.

They later spar against Shin Takeda and Mushroomon, with Lekismon defeating Woodmon.
