Summary

Upon hearing that the American military network is being attacked, Taichi Yagami, Greymon, Yamato Ishida, and Garurumon all head toward its equivalent in the Network. Along they way, they introduce themselves to each other and to Koshiro Izumi, who is acting as their mission control. Upon reaching the site of the American military network, they find a huge swarm of In-Training Argomon and a Rookie-level leader. Yamato and Garurumon draw their fire, allowing Taichi and Greymon a clear path to charge at the leader while Yamato and Garurumon then form a pincer strike on the other side. Unfortunately, they are unable to defeat the lead Argomon, who digivolves into its Ultimate form.

Argomon has Greymon and Garurumon on the ropes when Taichi pleads with Yamato to implement his plan. Yamato is hesitant due to the risk involved, but their Digimon resolve to see in through, and Yamato decides to trust in them. Greymon kicks up a smokescreen with his attacks, allowing both Digimon to charge in close and unleash point-black attacks that heavily injure Argomon but also harm themselves. Unfortunately, even this is not enough to defeat Argomon. Argomon digivolves once more, and they are ultimately unable to prevent the launch of a nuclear missile, whose target is Tokyo. They decide to continue to fight, and when all seems lost, feathers of light float down to Taichi's and Yamato's siblings, Hikari Yagami and Takeru Takaishi, respectively. As the pair grasp the feathers, Taichi and Yamato resolve to fight. Their Digimon fuse into Omnimon, ready to do battle once more.
