Vemmon is the partner Digimon of Zenith in Digimon Liberator and Digimon Liberator DEBUG.

Fiction

Digimon Liberator

Zenith's chose Vemmon as his partner as he liked that it was strong and emotionless. Their relationship is purely transactional. Zenith uses his skill to provide Vemmon with strong opponents, and Vemmon brings the victories. When Cool Boy refuses to duel Zenith, Zenith summons Vemmon, and says how it was bored. He tries again get a duel with him, since he's strong and it would please both him and Vemmon, but is unsuccessful. DEBUG.11-1 Zenith

Instead, Omekamon takes Cool Boy's place and duels Zenith, with Vemmon taking part as well. After the duel; Omekamon considers confronting them over their relationship, but backs down knowing how necessary Zenith's skills and popularity are to Cool Boy's plans. Frustrated, Omekamon merely advises Zenith not to disappoint Vemmon, while Zenith counters that they should watch as he becomes the Champion. DEBUG.11-2 RODS FROM GOD

After Zenith defeated Owen Dreadnought in the finals of the World Championships, Zenith senses that Owen's mind was focused on something else during their duel, causing him to not bring his A game. This upset Zenith, not seeing it as a real win. This made him obsessed with getting a rematch so that he could defeat Owen when he was at his best. DEBUG.11-3 Xeno -BEGINS-

His obsession is so strong, he agrees to give Vemmon to Unchained — as Unchained said they'd get him a rematch with Owen if he co-operated with Unchained's plan. DEBUG.11-3 Xeno -BEGINS- Unchained pastes Vemmon's data onto Maquinamon, which strengthened it and allowed it to survive in LACUNA. They then mass re-produced Maquinamon, and made around fifty of them. DEBUG.6-2 Unchained The Maquinmon caused trouble in LACUNA for months.

During the BlackImperialdramon rampage (part of Unchained's plan) Zenith had taken a blow for Owen which could've killed him — which caused his data to corrupt. Unchained merges Zenith's data with an NPC, which restores his body (though he now looks like an NPC/human hybrid). Unchained returns Vemmon to Zenith, since the rematch required his Vemmon deck. Thankful for what Unchained had done, he promises he would make it up to Unchained. Unchained explains the next stage of their plan: they would host an event, which would act as the end of Liberator's main storyline — the goal being to harvest player data. Zenith would act as "Xeno", a supposed NPC, and would battle players. If Owen was as good as Zenith said he was, a rematch would be inevitable — since Owen would want to stop Unchained and Xeno as a member of the debug team. Hearing this, Zenith's mood switches from furious to delighted — he didn't even care that the plan had a chance of killing him. Unchained opens a portal, with the three of them going through it. As they travel through it, Vemmon analyzes the situation and realizes what they were doing was wrong — but decided it didn't care as it wanted to help fulfil Zenith's wish. DEBUG.11-3 Xeno -BEGINS-
