Synopsis[]
Splashmon, disguised as Dorulumon, attacks the Fusion Fighters United Army with the Water Tiger Army. The attack is repelled, so Splashmon says that he intended to infiltrate the army to reach the Dark General, only to be led into the attack. Mikey accepts the explanation with open arms, which drives Christopher away. Splashmon then separates Mikey and Nene, attempting to convince the latter that Mikey betrayed her. JetMervamon saves Nene and dispels Splashmon's disguise, though she is defeated. Splashmon steals Nene's Fusion Loader and leaves her trapped, intending to harvest her despair as negative energy before handing her over to AxeKnightmon. He then assumes Nene form and leads Mikey, Shoutmon, and Ballistamon into an explosive trap. Splashmon's finale is then to disguise himself into Mikey to send Christopher forward into a trap, but Christopher catches on and passes him a bomb disguised as a DigiCard to dispel his illusion. When prompted, Christopher explains that the moment "Mikey" told him to go on ahead, he knew it was a fake as Mikey would never stay behind when his friends are in danger. Splashmon then attacks Christopher, only for Dorulumon to save him.
Mikey then appears with all of the allies. To a shocked Splashmon, he reveals that he was on his game the entire time. When pretending to fall into Splashmon's traps, he sent Cutemon and Deputymon to act in the shadows and rescue Dorulumon, who in turn rescued the others. Angered, Splashmon assumes his Darkness Mode 1, easily repelling the assault on him. When he sees the fear that this form invokes, he becomes the more terrifying Darkness Mode 2 and uses its liquid body to negate damage to himself. Mikey realizes that Splashmon's watery body means that he could boil him away, which Shoutmon DX achieves to defeat Splashmon and free Cyber Land.

Continuity errors
- Despite JetMervamon performing a Disengage Fuse before the end of the last episode, with only Mervamon being out when Splashmon and the MetalTyrannomon robots ambush the Fusion Fighters United Army, JetMervamon reappears in her place at the beginning of this episode.
Animation errors
- MetalGreymon is much smaller than his normal appearance, being only slightly larger than Shoutmon X2.
Digimon references
- The commercial break ends with a shot of TTS10: Tokyo Toy Show 2010 Shoutmon from Super Digica Taisen.
