While trying to understand the events of the previous day, Hiro investigates rumors about a mummy sighting in a museum.
Summary[]
At night in a park, a man is mummified by Mummymon. The following day, Hiro Amanokawa is awakened by Gammamon and realizes the previous day wasn't a dream. Hiro tries to get explanations from Gammamon to no avail. As Gammamon is very hungry and can open the room's door, Hiro takes him along, deciding he can't be left alone. At the New National Ueno General Museum, Ruli Tsukiyono, Mika Kashiwagi, and Aoi Udagawa are investigating reports of a mummy that kidnaps people, but only see normal mummies.
Hiro sees a Chuumon and struggles to disguise Gammamon from other people after realizing he is not invisible. At the market, he buys food and a paranormal magazine. After feeding Gammamon, he reads the magazine's article about Mummymon and realizes it is a Digimon. Mummymon kidnaps Megumi Asakura. The next day, Kotaro Nomura returns from the hospital and Hiro notices Kiyoshiro Higashimitarai worried about something. Hiro goes to the New National Ueno General Museum and hides in the bathroom, waiting for the museum to close.
Hiro and Gammamon find Mummymon. Failing to get answers, Hiro lets out a sigh and is mummified too. As Mummymon takes Hiro to the other mummified people, the boy starts paying attention to his replies to the desperate victims. Gammamon fights Mummymon to save Hiro, who realizes Mummymon is a doctor and has mistaken mummification as human medicine. Though he tries to clear up the misunderstanding, Mummymon gives no attention to him. Mummymon overpowers Gammamon and is trying to mummify Hiro again. Gammamon and Hiro synchronize once again and the Digimon digivolves to BetelGammamon, who is able to match Mummymon. Hiro finally gets Mummymon's attention and explains what mummies actually are. Realizing his error, Mummymon releases his patients.
Hiro and Gammamon take Mummymon to an area full of famous hospitals and encourage him to learn human medicine. On their way home, the two notice Ruli being followed by Angoramon.
