The final battle against Negamon begins. The DigiDestined and their partner Digimon, their journey is about to reach its end.
Summary[]
Tai, Matt and Omnimon make their way to the heart of Abbadomon's orb as it continues its attack on the two worlds. In the heart of the orb, they locate Abbadomon Core, Abbadomon's core body. Abbadomon Core and Omnimon engage in battle which causes the orb's movements to begin to lag. Believing that they might be able to slow down Abbadomon Core in the same manner and give their friends an edge, Rosemon, Vikemon, Phoenixmon, HerculesKabuterimon, Seraphimon and Ophanimon relentlessly attack the orb, although they fail to cause it much harm.
In a brutal battle, Omnimon manages to freeze Abbadomon Core's left arm solid, but Abbadomon Core captures his Grey Sword as Omnimon goes for the final blow and begins to erase him. However, the determination of the DigiDestined causes the Crests to trigger a Mode Change into Omegamon Alter-S. Alter-S proves to be more than a match for Abbadomon Core, destroying it and with it, Abbadomon. Alter-S Mode Changes back into Omnimon as Abbadomon reformats into Negamon's Digi-Egg and vanishes in a streak of white light. As his enemy is destroyed and reformated, Omnimon expresses hope that Negamon will be reborn in the future without being bound to either a good or an evil existence and promises that they will meet again. Omnimon then destroys Abbadomon's area in the Network.
With the Great Catastrophe ended, the DigiDestined and their partners rejoice as the DigiDestined's Digivices repair the damage that Negamon had caused to both worlds. Valdurmon's spirit appears in the ruins on the Rainbow Mountain to thank the DigiDestined for their actions. As the DigiDestined and their partners reaffirm their bond, they each vanish one by one from the Network, promising that "the adventure continues to a new world."
Some time afterwards, Wisemon addresses a crowd of Digimon at the Great Tree of Knowledge, spreading the story of the DigiDestined and their actions to save both worlds.
In another location, Lopmon, standing on a Cherrymon, tells another crowd of Digimon, including a sleeping Komondomon who survived his fall from the sky, about the human world.
On ElDradimon who is crossing the ocean, Leomon tells a third crowd that he believes that the DigiDestined came to their world to be their friends and that they had fought to protect their friends. YukimiBotamon expresses interest in going to the human world itself.
Wisemon tells his crowd that even he can't predict what kind of effects the merging of the two worlds will have going into the future and begins to get excited about studying the mystery as time goes on, but is interrupted when he gets too confusing to understand. Wisemon apologizes and tells the Digimon that one thing is certain: a new life, a new Digimon is born that day and the Digital World continues to grow without end. As Wisemon says this, Muchomon and the Puwamon are gathering Digi-Eggs and the Digimon hatching from them.
Across the Digital World, the many Digimon that the DigiDestined have met and befriended over the course of their adventure celebrate the victory and resume the lives that were interrupted by Negamon and his actions. YukimiBotamon wonders what happened to the DigiDestined after the battle and Leomon reveals that, their mission over, the DigiDestined returned to the human world.
In the human world, Kari walks past her empty bedroom with Gatomon while Sora goes for a run, Biyomon flying overhead. At school, Joe accidentally drops an eraser into his bag where Gomamon, hiding, returns it to him. Matt and T.K. meet up with Gabumon disguised by a coat and sunglasses and Patamon hiding in T.K.'s backpack. Mimi, assisted by Palmon, runs a small business called Mimi-Chan Kingdom & Co. where Izzy works with Tentomon on creating a gateway between the two worlds.
Tai relaxes beneath a tree, having chosen to stay in the Digital World with Agumon rather than returning home as the others did. Getting up, Tai and Agumon set off, continuing their adventure together.
