Lucemon has destroyed all three of the moons; only the warriors, Bokomon, Neemon, and the young Celestial Digimon survive. When they find out Lucemon is trying to establish dominion over both worlds, they confront him once more, but he proves too much until one of the warriors makes the ultimate sacrifice...
Summary[]
Lucemon Chaos Mode's attack destroys the three moons of the Digital World, leaving the DigiDestined stranded on a spare floating piece of the Yellow Moon. As they search for Takuya, Koji and the three Celestial Digimon, they fear they are dead like the other Digimon living on the other moons. They find them and then have a strategy session on a floating piece of moon discussing what they should do. Koichi decides to tell Koji what Crusadermon said to him, and Bokomon tells the others, despite his promise to Koichi. To try and reach the Dark Area where Lucemon was, Patamon, Lopmon, and Salamon power the rock forwards. Meanwhile, Lucemon sends out data streams to act as a bridge to the Human World. When the data breaks through the barrier, Shibuya can be seen, and all electronic devices show Lucemon Chaos Mode. Bokomon says that Digimon going to the Human World is impossible, but when he reads his book to find an answer, there is nothing but blank pages.
Suddenly, a stream of magma burns through the book, unveiling another passage saying that if Digimon go to the Real World, then they will create havoc before destroying it. The DigiDestined go into the Dark Area in one last ditch effort to fight but end up losing. Just as Lucemon is about to destroy them, Loweemon stops the darkness and takes the hit, giving the Spirits of Darkness to Koji and turning into a spirit himself, which Lucemon then scans. In anger at Lucemon scanning Koichi, Takuya bursts into flame and Koji into light, and with the help of their friends' D-Tectors, become Susanoomon.

Other Notes[]
Dubbing changes
- In the original version of the episode, Lucemon summons the corrupt souls within the Dark Area in order to build the bridge to the Human World, while in the English dub, they are called merely "chaos".
- When Koichi gives Koji his final words in the original version, his voice has a radio noise effect as his body starts blurring.
- The scene of buildings falling down in the original version were cut from the American version due to the images of 9/11.
- The scene at the end where Takuya and Koji merge together to become Susanoomon is altered in the beginning, removing the scene shown where their clothes get torn off.
