Matt and Gabumon were on their way to rejoin the other DigiDestined. However, they happened to pass by some mountains where a Digimon with an evil spell is. Now, great danger approaches Gabumon. Can Matt save Gabumon in time?!

Summary

Gabumon has been captured by a Mephistomon to be used as a sacrifice to a large shard of Millienniummon as a result of trying to fight off its Troopmon minions previously to give Yamato and other smaller Digimon time to escape. Upon being reunited with Joe and Gomamon after they finally escaped the hot springs, Yamato works out a plan with them. While Ikkakumon provides long-rage attacks to distract the Troopmon and provide Yamato a way up the mountain, Yamato tries to avoid the Salamandermon patrolling the mountain itself. However, Mephistomon uses its spells to try and prevent the rescue effort, but Joe uses his recital of various information from his books while in a meditative state to overpower Mephistomon's spells and cause the Troopmon and Salamandermon to fall under his control.

Yamato reaches Gabumon, but as both find themselves about to be sacrificed, Yamato's will to protect Gabumon allows them to break Mephistomon's seal, and evolving into WereGarurumon Sagittarius Mode, Gabumon is able to not only destroy Mephistomon and the large shard of Millienniummon, but also all the fires Mephistomon conjured as well in a single Kaiser Nail strike. Some time later, with the Troopmon still pledging loyalty and servitude to Joe, T.K. arrives on Pegasusmon while Taichi and the others arrive on Komodomon. At long last, the Chosen Children are all reunited.
