Bandai Asia

Do we include Bandai Asia's romanizations? As far as I'm aware, the Loweemon/KaiserLeomon figures were never released in Japan, and the packaging is in Bandai Asia's style, which combines the original Japanese and the American dub. Lanate (talk) 19:31, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

I've seen it in both Japanese and Bandai-Asia packaging (or what appears to be Bandai-Asia, anyway). I think we do, anyway, since we mentioned Samudramon. The Japanese packaging is the one that gives us AncientSphinxmon, Laeighmon, Loweemon, and KaiserLeomon. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 19:45, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

Reichmon's profile doesn't have "独:" when listing the kanji in parenthesis after the attacks, so I think it's possible it could be intended as some sort of ateji/furigana stuff. That is very common in Japan. For example, in the Fate franchise every Noble Phantasm's name is an ateji (i.e.: Excalibur, Unlimited Blade Works, Christine, Christine, Apneic Beauty), except for NP's that already have Japanese names, although The Heavens are Born from the Earth and the Earth Reaches for the Heavens does it anyway. The only problem I can think of is that the kanji comes after the katakana instead of the other way around. Anime... PAAWAA!!! 01:43, November 17, 2015 (UTC)/23:43, November 16, 2015 (Brasília, summer time)
Blizzarmon's profile doesn't have them either (nor does Barbamon), and the meanings are exact for the attack names (not even rough approximations like with the Royal Knights), rather than being poetic descriptions like that. I'm not sure what information we'd really be adding to the article if we included the given kanji. I think it makes more sense to treat the lack of the 独 as an omission. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 03:35, November 17, 2015 (UTC)
Golden Hind, Golden Eater, Chakravartin (despite the Wiki translating as "Turner of the Wheel", the kanji is the exact same used for "Chakravartin" in Japanese), Blut die Schwester, and Right Hand - Evil Eater. I would also argue that UBW is intended to be the same thing, and RHEE makes me believe Left Hand - Xanadu Matrix is also intended to be the same, although I can't find any context for "Xanadu" meaning "heaven's blessing". Bloodbath Crown, Smile of the Stheno, and Eye of the Euryale also seem to be approximations. There's also For Someone's Glory, but this one seems to be a stretch. Anime... Okay, granted, but Digimon by and large doesn't do that (beyond the rare "DigiCore (Computer Kernel)"), so I still don't see why we should assume that Digimon is copying Type Moon instead of just having omitted a single kanji, which they do all the time. We have Omegamon X's profile and the Mille appearances in the manga which also do use kanji to represent the character's exact name. I mean..."Golden Hind: Golden Hind" just sounds stupid, and I get that they have a format to stick to, but we aren't compelled to use that format also. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 22:37, November 17, 2015 (UTC)
