Seraphimon / Seraphymon[]

It's Seraphymon in the credits but it's also Seraphimon in Digimon Digital Card Battle and in Digimon Rumble Arena. Do we consider anime/movie credits over supplemental materials?

Mainly because I really dislike the look of Seraphymon. Lanate (talk) 21:51, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Well, don't anime always have priority in this Wiki? We should use the name "Seraphimon" at least for the games were this name is used, similarly to how I was doing with the Frontier manhua names, but I think our policy says we should use Seraphymon. Though it also says to "use the most common name". I don't know what to do. Anime... PAAWAA!!! 23:00, October 18, 2012 (UTC)
Does Seraphimon appear on any anime-specific TCG cards? Or the Miracle 4 toy set made for the movie? Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 00:57, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
Guess not. Part of me wishes I never found it.  :( Lanate (talk) 03:43, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
Wait, I know that we have to use it for Patamon's page, but what metric are we using for Seraphymon/Seraphimon, Kerpymon/Cherubimon, Crusadermon/LordKnightmon in regards to species pages? Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 05:44, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
I think most common for species. Seraphimon and Cherubimon far outrank Seraphymon and Kerpymon, while Crusadermon, LoadKnightmon, and LordKnightmon all appear only once so we default to Crusadermon as the most prominent example. Lanate (talk) 05:48, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, which is this page using? Does tri. use anything in-animation? I feel that would outrank credits. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 11:30, May 7, 2018 (UTC)
The subtitles of Tri use "Seraphimon" if that helps. It also uses names like "Gatomon", "Biyomon", "MegaKabuterimon" and "Magnadramon".Marcusbwfc (talk) 00:41, May 8, 2018 (UTC)
The subtitles aren't valid, though. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 13:51, May 8, 2018 (UTC)
This uses "Serpahimon" from Tri. https://withthewill.net/threads/20489-Digimon-at-Anime-Expo-2018 Marcusbwfc (talk) 23:07, July 5, 2018 (UTC)
I'm not sure that counts, either. I'd prefer to use Seraphimon, but I'm not sure we can justify it yet. Opinions? Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 13:40, July 16, 2018 (UTC)
Whilst it's not shown on screen I guess, I would still count it for Tri as it's directly from Toei (though they did spell Birdramon and Lillymon wrong on it). In addition, perhaps we can count Rumble Arena in a 2v1? I do believe that there has been a few instances of 'anime names' being ignored due to other names being used more often (or it not being liked?), such as Marsmon/Marusamon, Slush/SlashAngemon and considering other Serpahimons have been used a million times, with the only instance of the Y being this one off moment, I figure it's a fair enough one to treat as a one off typo etc in the same sense of Slush and Marusa. 99.9% of Serpahimons use that name.Marcusbwfc (talk) 04:45, July 17, 2018 (UTC)
Marsmon isn't an instance of precedent. It simply never got decided either way, due to the long-running debate over how the policy should work. SlashAngemon got moves based on the interpretation (at that time), that the consensus was "most common usage". Either way, that would be for a species name, not a character name -- the Fusion characters are still called Marusumon and SlushAngemon. For the Seraphimon character, we need to figure out what counts as a better source -- there's either the first dub name, which was Seraphymon in the movie credits, or this one, which is Seraphimon in a bit of promotional con material that I'm sure has by this point been thrown away. Neither are particularly compelling, unless there's a third source I'm missing. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 19:24, July 17, 2018 (UTC)
Rumble Arena uses Seraphimon. Lanate (talk) 02:41, July 18, 2018 (UTC)

Square-off with SkullSatamon[]

This article claims MagnaAngemon was defeated by SkullSatamon in Digimon Adventure 02 ep 43. This contradicts what actually happened during that battle - SkullSatamon attacked MagnaAngemon with his Skull Hammer, but unlike most other Digimon present during that battle (for instance Ankylomon), he neither got injured nor de-digivolved. In fact, he remained in his position and only backed one or two meters when hit by this powerful attack. As he took no offensive action during that battle, I have problems seeing how being hit by and repelling an unsuccessful attack qualifies as a defeat. The section should be moderated to give a more accurate picture on the events. --CrappyScrap (talk) 21:43, December 9, 2012 (UTC)

Isn't Skull Hammer the one that paralyzes you? He also fails to stop SkullSatamon, so I would say that counts as defeated. I guess I can review the episode later, give me a reminder. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 14:27, December 10, 2012 (UTC)
He was not paralyzed, as he moved right after being hit (unlike Imperialdramon Dragon Mode, who was unable to move). If you rewatch the episode, you will see that MagnaAngemon reacted in a completely different way as the other Digimons when he was hit by the Skull Hammer, which is the main reason why I dispute this being classified as a defeat. As a sidenote, MagnaAngemon's energy also played an important role in making Imperialdramon able to change mode for the first time and win the battle. --CrappyScrap (talk) 13:45, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

Gate of Destiny[]

"MagnaAngemon can also unleash an aurora beam when standing behind it." When did that happen?RERU Kareru (talk) 14:46, November 15, 2013 (UTC)K.R.

Warp-Digivolution[]

One thing I'm confused about concerning this character (and Angewomon, for that matter) is his ability to warp digivolve in the movie "Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals". T.K. had given up his Crest, and they were nowhere near a Destiny Stone. I don't know how Angemon could have even digivolved to MagnaAngemon, much less warp digivolve to Seraphimon. Is there any indication whatsoever as to how he managed to accomplish this? Yashael341 (talk) 19:11, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

They were in a strange, Lovecraftian dimension where time-and-space were being warped, and were also apparently fulfilling some prophecy. It was a once-in-a-lifetime miracle. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 20:24, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

ReArise and Masters[]

Are the Patamon in ReArise in Masters specifically this character, or are they merely mimicking his storyline, in the same way that UlforceVeedramon fights Daemon in Chronicle X even though they're not the same characters from V-Tamer?Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 12:16, December 12, 2019 (UTC)

In Masters, all 8 partner digimon are alongside all 8 kids just doing the Myotismon storyline. So patamon is with TK. Although it's slightly tweaked, the myotismon team has a witchmon minion. As for rearise, the humans didn't show up but basically they said it's the Tri cast coming over because of blackwar and diaboromon coming over. In the raids you then chose one of the Tri digimon (Meicoomon with raguelmon) to help you fight. It was a 20th anniversary cross over event with Tri. It was basically a side quest. completion of the event then rewards you "tentomon" from the anime and you get a free mega basically.Marcusbwfc (talk) 12:52, December 12, 2019 (UTC)
If the humans are there, then that's them, yeah. For ReArise, can you link me a video? Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 15:56, December 12, 2019 (UTC)
The main info from ReArise is here: https://withthewill.net/threads/21303-Adventure-20th-Anniversary-Event-Details-for-Digimon-ReArise basically the game itself and V-Jump said that its the digimon tri cast specifically showing up in the game for this event. here's the other jump info for it https://withthewill.net/threads/21300-Early-Info-from-April-V-Jump-Adventure-20th-amp-Survive-Updates-More-Images-amp-Info basically this is why I put them down as being the Tri cast, since this event was a cross over promotional event... which is no longe accessible actually, though it'll happen in the dubbed version at some pint I assume. it was so long ago im struggling to find vids, theres one here that shows a small part of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZpXNFGyOFw but yeah, mostly that vjump stuff outright saying its the tri cast. we do have the argument it was a one off cross over though so maybe we shoulndt have "main" for them since they play such a small role? as for masters ill just post the DMO trailer for the myostismon segment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiU86yomtx0&feature=emb_title i did skim through the actual quest itself from YTers, and the random witchmon minion seemed to be the main thing different to the anime for the quest itself. so i guess its an "alternate" version, similar to adventure psp. when it comes to "mimicking" the storyline, I get what you mean, because soul chaser basically does that, it has an abridged version of the adventure story ,but I see no indication we're supposed to consider them the adventure cast, so I haven't counted them as the adventure cast for soul chaser.Marcusbwfc (talk) 02:32, December 13, 2019 (UTC)
Honestly, the only compelling thing I'm seeing so far is that the v-jump article called them "Partner Digimon".Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 13:11, December 13, 2019 (UTC)
