- Muchomon is the one of the partner Digimon of Shoto Kazama in Digimon Liberator. Shoto owns multiple Muchomon cards, but whether the same Muchomon is summoned every time, or if each card has a different Muchomon isn't specified. This page mostly focuses on the one that talks and appears outside of duels. For the other possible Muchomon, see the gameplay notes section.

There's nothing in the story to indicate this level of quantization. We even see different card numbers for the same species that are treated as functionally the same Partner (ex. Shoto's Fluffymon and Zephagamon or Arisa's Chaperomon). Even the Overwrite ability itself indicates that a card can be replaced mid-battle while still being linked to the same identity. Specifically, the D-Storage explanation says, regarding alt-art chips:
"It is recommended to use these items on your favorite cards or those featuring the Digimon chosen as your partner, allowing for a personalized touch to cards."
The structure of that sentence pretty strongly indicates that any card depicting the species you have chosen as your partner, is linked to that individual, and remains so even if you turn it into an alt-art card. By all appearances, the partner is species-based and not card number-based, much less "specific printing of same card number"-based.
Since the story hasn't said anything to raise the possibility that the identity of the Partner is locked to the specific physical card (or its digital analogue) set in the D-Storage, I think it's inappropriate for the wiki to be raising it as a possibility.Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 19:04, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
