Change name?[]

Shouldn't it be Hackmon? N. Harmonik (talk) 22:00, February 11, 2014 (UTC)

No. The Reference Book explicitly spells "Huckmon". Anime... PAAWAA!!! 22:14, February 11, 2014 (UTC)
It should, but as a wiki we are bound to the spelling the Reference Book forces upon us, even the ones that were obviously mistranslated. It is basically the same thing with SlashAngemon's western name, everyone knows there's something off, but it can't be helped. Shadow Abyss (talk) 15:42, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Huckleberry Finn? seriously? his name is Hackmon and is based on Hack as in chopping or slashing and this becomes even more evident as he evolves, but sure go on Huckleberry Finn becomes Jesus...--Doomroar (talk) 23:32, August 21, 2014 (UTC)
Well, if a little snow-white bear-head thing becomes a cat head with a tail, and if that becomes a Plott hound named after someone's cat, and if that becomes an actual cat, and that becomes an archangel woman, and THAT turns into a holy dragon or an ophan, then anything is possible. --Signed, Brittonbubba 00:17, August 22, 2014 (UTC)
As true as the case of Angewomon is the point is that this guy is not based on Huckleberry Finn, sure is obvious to anyone but, there are people out there that will take this seriously XD --Doomroar (talk) 08:55, August 22, 2014 (UTC)
Points for hacking: his Fif Slash is hackish. Points against: That's not actually how you spell Hack in Japanese, at least not for the physical action.
Points for Huck: It's how you spell it in Japanese, the main characterization of the Digimon is one who goes on an adventure, has an "unfettered and restraint-hating, adventure-loving way of life", and is raised by two women who believe it is their "Christian duty" to civilize the Digimon. Huckmon does what he personally feels is the right thing to do, even if society (or the Royal Knights) would call it "wrong".
That is straight up the characterization for Huckleberry Finn. At most, the "Hack" thing is a pun on the name, as with LordKnightmon and Rhodonite, but Huckmon is very, very much Huckleberry Finn as a Digimon. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 13:39, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Attack names[]

Given that BaoHuckmon's Fifth Cross is "フィフクロス" instead of "フィフスクロス", I think "フィフスラッシュ" is "Fifth Slash" or "Fif Slash". It makes sense as "Fifteen" in katakana is "フィフティーン". Anime... PAAWAA!!! 20:11, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, sounds right. Can you fix it on wikimon as well? Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 06:58, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Goggles[]

Do we have to note these? They're a design element, but their meaning isn't quite as ritualized as the crests, holy rings, or digicode, I would think. Then again...Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 15:23, April 9, 2014 (UTC)
