She states she would prefer to stay in the castle as she thought it was safe there, only for Saki Kimishima to tell her that some of her servants died trying to protect her. This upsets Miu, though before she has have time to grieve the castle begins to shake with the ceiling about to cave in — causing the entire group to flee the building.
After leaving the castle, Monzaemon, Garurumon, and their minions attack the kids and easily defeat the partner Kemonogami. Monzaemon attacks Miu, with some of her servants taking the blow for her instead. Garurumon decides to let the kids escape as he only cared about killing the Kemonogami that had bonded with humans and not the humans themselves, which pisses off Monzaemon. Refusing to their their partners die, the Kemonogami get back up and continue to fight, with Kaito also fighting to prevent them from sacrificing Miu. The partner Kemonogami, some of the humans, and Miu's servants fight the evil Kemonogami — with Miu admitting she loves her brother and doesn't want him, or his friends, to die. She asks Syakomon to save them with this causing Syakomon to evolve to Shellmon — who's added power allows the group to defeat the evil Kemonogami.

Mermaimon[]
This only happens if Miu's affinity reaches 30. |
Mermaimon is Syakomon's Ultimate form. When Miu Shinonome and Syakomon go to the Deep Forest alone, she tells Syakomon that's she's worried about leaving the alternate World because it means she'd had to be separated from her partner forever. During this conversation, the duo are attacked by a Birdramon. As Syakomon struggles, Miu begs for Kaito Shinonome's help though snaps out of it stating she can't always rely on him. Realizing she needs to stand up for herself, her new found resolve causes Syakomon to warp evolve to Mermaimon — who then defeats Birdramon. They then agree to be friends forever. Takuma Momozuka had seen the events unfold from afar, and after winning Miu — who knew he was eavesdropping — tells him not to tell her brother what had happened since he'd freak out at her fighting on her own. MarineAngemon[]
This only happens if Miu's affinity reaches 70. It can not happen in the Harmonious route. |
MarineAngemon is one of Syokomon's Mega forms. Unlike her previous forms, MarineAngemon is not able to speak and communicates with squeaks which Dracmon is able to understand. When Miu Shinonome and Syakomon go to the deep forest, they get chased by a BlueMeramon. Seeing that it wanted to attack the school, Miu and Syakomon act as bait to lead it away. As they run away from it, they end up coming across Takuma Momozuka who stops them wondering what's going on. This allows BlueMeramon to catch up to them which leads Syakomon to fight it. As Syakomon struggles, Miu worries about the fact it might go and kill her friends and sick of being the one protected, Miu decides it was her time to be the one doing the protecting, which causes Syakomon to warp evolve to MarineAngemon. MarineAngemon then defeats BlueMeramon. Kaito and Dracmon arrive with a returning Takuma, and are surprised to see that Miu had defeated it on her own with Kaito proud of her for doing so. Attacks

Garurumon, as the newly evolved MetalGarurumon, single handedly defeats Azulongmon on his own with his new found power.
