Syakomon
Syakomon is a Crustacean Digimon whose name and design are derived from the giant clam (硨磲貝 shakogai?). Because he has developed the encrusted shell-like scales drastically, his internal structure and body is slime-shaped and is the size of an In-Training Digimon. He entices the opponent with his cute face, then attacks. Once his scales are closed up, his attack and defense are raised a little higher, making upcoming attacks bounce off him.
Digimon Adventure 02
Three Syakomon are the Digimon partners of the Poi Brothers. They can digivolve to Octomon, which they did to fight a Mojyamon when Digimon started to appear in the Real World. They appeared during the final battle against MaloMyotismon.
Digimon Xros Wars
Syakomon are among the residents of Island Zone who help out Xros Heart. Island Zone, An Upheaval! One in particular helps out when Flymon under the orders of Neptunmon of the Bagra Army attempt to harm KingWhamon by hiding dynamite among the batches of Diginowa offered to him. It tries to detonate the bombs prematurely, but it can't fire fast enough, so Shoutmon takes some of the slack. Shakomon also acts with the rest of Xros Heart in distracting Ebidramon so that ChibiKamemon can get the DigiMemories. DigiMemory, Shine! Shakomon calls its allies to act as stepping stones so that Xros Heart can reach Neptunmon while he is still confused by MarineAngemon's Ocean Love and says farewell when they leave.
