Swimmon is a Tropical Fish Digimon. It has a brightly colored body, and inhabits and forms schools within the warm coral reefs right below the equator. Using its large fins, it is able to fly above the ocean's surface for short periods, and the sight of a school of Swimmon elegantly flying about the surface of the ocean is counted as one of the Digital World's three most scenic views. The scales that cover the surface of its body have the special characteristic of matching their coloring to the colors of their surroundings, and in case it is attacked by a gigantic aquatic Digimon, it is capable of camouflaging itself to escape difficulty.[2]

Fiction[]
Digimon Liberator[]
During Yao Qinglan's duel with Shoto Kazama, Yao uses the effect of BT19-082: Yao Qinglan to put BT19-018: Swimmon under BT19-024: MarineBullmon as a new digivolution source — giving it the Jamming ability, which allows it to survive destruction if it loses a security battle. This proves important, as MarineBullmon was able to use the ability to survive against ST18-13: Eaglemon. When Yao uses the inherited effect of BT19-002: Puyoyomon to send MarineBullmon to her deck to send BT17-047: Parrotmon to Shoto's hand, Swimmon goes to the Trash since MarineBullmon was no longer on the field. Vortex Resonance (Part 1) In a later turn, Yao uses the effect again to put a Swimmon under BT19-019: Shellmon. This allows it to survive against ST18-08: Galemon. Yao later uses another Puyoyomon's effect, which sends this Swimmon to the Trash as it was one of BT19-027: Ryugumon's digivolution sources. When ST18-09: Deramon attack's Yao's security, it battles a Swimmon and survives since it has higher DP. Vortex Resonance (Part 2)
