Ryouma Mogami (最上リョウマ Mogami Ryouma?) is the leader of a rival team of Hunters to the new Xros Heart. As a Hunter, Ryouma looks for Digimon that are the most powerful, although he will avoid those that he cannot control.


Ryouma is a young teenage boy with pale skin, carefully styled light grey hair, green eyes. He wears a purple shirt under a fitted black jacked closed with a white button, a black belt with a silver buckle, black pants that end just over his ankles, and black boots with zippers at the sides.

Name used in Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time and related materials.

  • Ja: Mogami (最上?). A Japanese surname meaning "exceedingly superior".
  • Ja: Ryouma (リョウマ?). A masculine Japanese name.


Ryouma witnessed OmniShoutmon's battle with Tactimon, as well as Bagramon's subsequent attack on the Human World. He escaped Bagramon's petrifying curse when he accidentally fell into the DigiQuartz, and was able to witness Mikey and Shoutmon X7F Superior Mode's victory over MegaDarknessBagramon. These events inspired him to become more powerful than Mikey by becoming a Hunter, and working with Quartzmon. Now Revealed! The Secret of the Digimon Hunt! A Great Legendary Hero Gathering! The Digimon All-star Showdown!!

At some point, Ryouma became a Hunter and formed a team with Ren and Airu.

After Tagiru enters the DigiQuartz for the first time, Ryouma's team tries to hunt a MetalTyrannomon but fail. Ryouma then tells Tagiru that he needs a strong Digimon to participate in the Digimon Hunt. Later, he witnesses Arresterdramon's battle with MetalTyrannomon. We, The Digimon Hunters!

At the gathering of Digimon Hunters, Ryouma plays a piano while the assorted Hunters wait for Xros Heart to arrive. A Great Hunter Gathering! The Digimon Contest of the Southern Island!


Ryouma prefers to collect "powerful" Digimon. According to Airu, Ryouma only has about five Digimon in his Collection, not counting Psychemon.
