This article is about the base that houses FanBeemon and its brethren. For the base that houses the Royal Knights, see Royal Base (Masters).

The mysterious Royal Base (ローヤルベース Rōyaru Bēsu?) is a secret, floating honey base inhabited by FanBeemon and its brethren and located in the skies of the Skuld Terminal.[1] It was designed and developed through the scientific and engineering expertise of QueenBeemon, who the hive reveres as its sovereign queen, and praises as it rides the "Royal Throne", a secret weapon that can channel the Base's energy into massive firepower.[2] The Base is under constant construction, so the FanBeemon are tasked with collecting field data like flowers and plants to use as materials,[3] while the ForgeBeemon are tasked to toil away day and night to bond these materials with their honey adhesive, and to rescue FanBeemon when they get stuck to the materials.[4]

QueenBeemon solely manages the hive's powerful defensive and offensive formations to prevent anyone from getting close,[2] and the FanBeemon can summon the hive for assistance when threatened. Because of this, the purpose of the construction is currently a mystery,[3] even to many of the workers.[4] As an airborne base, it is surrounded by danger on all sides, so Waspmon are in charge of security, constantly patrolling the vicinity on the lookout for approaching Digimon and driving off any that do,[5] while CannonBeemon serve as the long-range lookout, using the vast range of their arms containers to cover the entire surrounding area.[6] Meanwhile, the elite Vespamon serve as the "Royal Guard", who are charged with protecting QueenBeemon and the base's vital facilities, even at the cost of death.[7] The top 0.08% of the Royal Guard digivolve to TigerVespamon and join the covert honey corps, the "Royal Commandos", granting them codenames.[8] These Royal Commandos operate in secret on the surface.[1]
