RookChessmon (Black)
RookChessmon (Black) is a Puppet Digimon whose name and design are derived from the black "Rook" chess piece. It has an appearance like a fortress which boasts impregnable defense. Although it's a gigantic Digimon it is very fast, and it defends against the opponent's strikes, then attacks. Its catchphrase is, "The opponent is nothing after me!"[4]

RookChessmon digivolves from KnightChessmon (Black) at LV 34 with 175 defence and can further digivolve into QueenChessmon or BlackMegaGargomon with BishopChessmon (Both have to be lvl. 45, 7000 dark exp., and 7000 beast exp.). In Dusk it appears in the Process Factory. It is also a guard for DarkMoon City along side BishopChessmon.
Attacks
- Stronghold: Charges the opponent as it stands at attention, mowing them down and destroying them.
- Rook Gatling: Fires from the gunports on its arms.
- Castle Wall: Uses a stubborn, immovable, steadfast defense.
