Ren Tobari is a member of the rival team against Xros Heart. He is a rare digimon collector hunter who will do anything to capture a digimon. He also tricked Tagiru by saying he will help him find Blossomon, but he really only wants them to buy him time to capture Blossomon. When he finds Blossomon, he orders Dracmon to attack it even though a student is still attached to the digimon. Later Taiki orders OmegaShoutmon to draw Blossomon's attack towards them but Ren and the others get away.
