After Mon explains that the Mamemon had stolen the local Digimon's homes because the Spiral had chased them out of their homes and that chaos like this was common after the Spiral had shown up to the Digital World, the Mamemon return with their boss, a Boltmon. Rasenmon and Angewomon watch as BaoHuckmon digivolves to SaviorHuckmon and defeats the Boltmon after it states that they were simply fighting to see who should be the leader of the forest. As the losers the Boltmon and Mamemon agree to stop forcing their way of lives onto the other Digimon and Mon and SaviorHuckmon state they would get their homes back for them. The local Digimon then invite Boltmon and the Mamemon to live with them until the group of Tamers were able to get their home back for them. Stranded in the Digital World?!

On the way they come across a group of Gotsumon who also had had their village attacked by Spiral. They agree to help them save the village though are surprised to see it had already been saved by Keito and GrapLeomon. Finally reunited they all travel to the Mamemon and Boltmon's village but are attacked by more Spiral on the way. Stefilmon senses that more had spawned in the Gotsumon village so they split up with Keito and GrapLeomon returning to the Gotsumon village. Stefilmon digivolves to Rasenmon to make up for their absence and fights them alongside SaviorHuckmon. As they finally reach the village they come across the same Spiral that had suddenly glitches once before. It turns into its glitched form again, tells Rasenmon not to interfere, and flees. All the other Spiral within the other Digital Points then flee as well, seemingly under the orders of the one Rasenmon had talked to. Keito's Decisive Fighting Spirit!

Having previously trained with ShineGreymon in their Rookie forms, Clash Battle! ShineGreymon the Protagonist, Herissmon, Michi Shinjo, and Salamon once again come across ShineGreymon months later whilst in a Digital Point. It had wanted to train with them again having heard that a lot had happened and they had gotten stronger. Herissmon informs it that it can now digivolve to Mega and warp digivolves to Rasenmon, whilst Salamon warp digivolves to Angewomon, Salamon's Ultimate form. Impressed, ShineGreymon digivolves to ShineGreymon BM, its most powerful form, though before they can train a giant Spiral-1004R spawns and so the three team up to take it down as training instead of sparring against ShineGreymon BM. Clash Battle! ShineGreymon BM As they celebrate defeating it three more of them spawn and the trio of Spiral manage to break the seal of the Seven Deadly Digimon member Belphemon, freeing it as Belphemon SM. Clash Battle! Belphemon SM The group attempt to attack SM whilst it's still dormant, however the Spiral keep getting in the way. As they fight against the Spiral, Belphemon SM's alarm clock suddenly sounds which awakens Belphemon SM and causes it to digivolve into Belphemon RM. Its roars were too much for Angewomon to handle, and they also cause Rasenmon large amounts of damage. After a pep talk from ShineGreymon BM they re-join the battle and ShineGreymon BM is eventually able to defeat Belphemon RM, pushing it back into its seal once again. Rasenmon and ShineGreymon then promise to meet again in the future. Clash Battle! Belphemon RM

As they search for Takumi Hiiragi and Dorumon whilst clearing Digital Points they are unable to find them. GrapLeomon suddenly tells Stefilmon that it can now digivolve to its Mega form, HeavyLeomon, and requests a match against Rasenmon. Stefilmon complies and the two digivolve to their Mega forms and spar. Clash Battle! HeavyLeomon

When Mon and Hackmon ask the group to come to the Digital World to help protect Primary Village from the Spiral, Herissmon digivolves to Filmon, then Stefilmon, and then Rasenmon to fight them — alongside SaviorHuckmon, Chirinmon, and HeavyLeomon. After the group split up Rasenmon and SaviorHuckmon find the original Spiral-4004Y but it spawns a group of Spiral-4036Y and they try to kill them. After Rasenmon and SaviorHuckmon defeat the Spiral-4036Y they are unable to defeat the Spiral-4004Y as it is able to flee. The group then proceed to defeat the rest of the Spiral and save Primary Village. A One-Track Mind! Kazuma Joins the Party

When the group decide to go shopping so that they could help teach Mon and Hackmon about the Human World a Digital Point opens up before they can start shopping - so Herissmon, Salamon, Kudamon, and Hackmon digivolve to their Champion forms to defeat the Spirals. A group of Kuwagamon and Okuwamon suddenly arrive, having been dragged into the Digital Point by the Spiral - however before the group can chase them they hear Kazuma Natsuyagi and Botamon in trouble further into the Digital Point and split up to deal with both issues at the same time. Filmon and Gatomon chase after the Insectoid Digimon and eventually find them and digivolve to Rasenmon and Angewomon to defeat them. After defeating them Rasenmon senses that a powerful Digimon had arrived in the Digital Point, though are unable to help out the others as a large group of Spiral-2020B, lead by a Spiral-4036Y spawn, and they realise that the Spiral were intentionally stalling them so that they could not help fight the powerful Digimon. Though they are able to defeat the Spiral, they are unable to help the rest of their friends due to how long it took to defeat the Spiral. A God Beast Digimon?! A Path for Mayu to Follow

After the incident at the mall, Stefilmon and Chirinmon agree to a friendly sparring match in their Mega forms, so Stefilmon digivolves to Rasenmon to fight Mitamamon. Rasenmon is unable to score any hits against Mitamamon, giving Mitamamon the upper hand though after Rasenmon focuses it is able to strike and damage it with a direct attack to its vitals. As Mitamamon falls in defeat, they call the battle off. Mitamamon heals them both, to which Rasenmon asks if the battle was actually over, with Mitamamon giving a cheeky "who knows?, maybe." Clash Battle! Mitamamon

When Kumbhiramon, Vajramon, and Pajiramon ask the group to fight the other Deva to try and gain their trust, as the other Deva did not trust Humans, they find Vikaralamon fighting a group of Spiral in a Digital Point. After it clears out all the Spiral it suddenly attacks the group without warning though is defeated by Rasenmon and Angewomon. Having been defeated, it agrees to trust the Humans and joins the other Human supporting Deva. As the Humans try and catch up with Vikaralamon they suddenly find it being attacked by Machinedramon. Rasenmon and Angewomon fight it to protect their new friend, with Machinedramon setting the forest on fire in the process. As the fight continues Machinedramon suddenly retreats after receiving a message that the retrieval had been complete. Rasenmon, Angewomon, and Vikaralamon manage to put our the forest fire and then join the rest of the Human supporting Deva. Deva Training! A Battle to Remeber!

Later, when a Digital Point opens up in the Digital World, Caturamon use one of the DigiCores to open a distortion and have all the Spiral go into it to get them out of the Digital World, as it had done so in the past, but the other Deva disagreed with this as they did not have the Four Holy Beasts any more to supress the power of the distortion, making the plan too dangerous. Caturamon still goes ahead with the plan however, and unable to reach the center of the Digital Point, Sinudramon asks the Tamers to go inside it and stop Caturamon, though first they have to defeat all the nearby Spiral – which Herissmon, Hackmon, and Elecmon start to do after digivolving to Rasenmon, SaviorHuckmon, and HeavyLeomon. Rasenmon and HeavyLeomon continue to fight the Spiral, whilst SaviorHuckmon leaves to help Michi and Sara deal with Caturamon instead, having noticed they had entered the Digital Point through Keito's tracking machine. Chasing the Shadow of an Angel! Joining Forces with Sara!

Just after Leopardmon defeats Machinedramon and Angewomon in a Digital Point Rasenmon, having just arrived, charges into battle to protect its friends. Relatively equal in power to the Royal Knight, Rasenmon is taken by surprise when it becomes Leopardmon LM and uses its speed to get the upper hand. Just as it was about to deal a powerful blow however, HeavyLeomon arrives and attacks Leopardmon, saving Rasenmon. Leopardmon realises that fighting two Megas may prove tough and as the three of them fight, Leopardmon stops fighting and asks why the two of them are fighting it, then tells them that Saramon and Machinedramon are behind all the problems in the Digital World. Sara confirms this, summons a large group of Spiral to cause a distraction, has Tapirmon digivolve to Machinedramon, and attacks Leopardmon. As Machinedramon and Gaiomon fight Leopardmon, the rest of the group fight the Spiral. They eventually defeat all the Spiral, just as Machinedramon and Gaiomon retreat to the Dark Area after Jesmon joined the fight to even up the numbers. Advent of the Holy Knight! Mark of the Blade

When Bearmon, Kazuma, the Protagonist, and Herissmon are hanging out at the Truffle Café a Digital Point opens up at Main Street. Herissmon digivolves to Rasenmon and defeats a Spiral-2030B that had surprise attacked Grizzlymon after it had defeated a DemiDevimon. It and Grizzlymon then defeat the rest of the Spiral. They later reunite with everyone further into the Digital Point, after which GranDracmon suddenly ReArises into it and appears before them. It tells them it had spent a long time watching them, and during the time spent watching, it was impressed, and invites them to come to its castle. The Tamers, based on GranDracmon's appearance, assume something is up and are proven right when it states it wants to add them to its ice sculpture collection so that it can keep them in its collection for eternity. The Tamers refuse and a fight ensues, with their attacks doing no damage to it. GranDracmon mocks Mon, stating that she doesn't care about the Human World and whether it gets destroyed though after her friends deny it she remembers when she first met Jesmon and wanted to be strong like it so she could protect everyone. After regaining her resolve, lights come out of her and power up the other Digimon with Rasenmon now a match for GranDracmon. GranDracmon is suddenly attacked by Jesmon and as it mocks Jesmon, due to it having already used up a lot of its energy fighting the decoys in the Dark Area, it is attacked by Rasenmon – with GranDracmon surprised it was still able to fight. GranDracmon, now able to be damaged, retreats though informs the Tamers that it will return – as it had fallen even more in love with them and now wants to make them part of its collection even more. Mon, Lost in Memories: Impending Darkness

After Michi is brainwashed by GranDracmon, she goes missing. Three days later, the group search for her and during the search they come across a Digital Point full of Spiral and Evil Digimon, so Herissmon warp digivolves to Rasenmon to fight them. During the fight, GranDracmon separates them all by teleporting them away pair by pair. After Sara summons a group of Spiral, causing the Digital Point to re-appear, the Protagonist and Rasenmon are able to find most of the group and come across Michi and Angewomon trying to destroy the Town. Angewomon attacks Rasenmon and does large amounts of damage, though GranDracmon has Michi flee when Mon and SaviorHuckmon arrive. The group chase after her, though Mon and SaviorHuckmon end up stuck behind when GranDacmon summons VenomMyotismon. As Rasenmon, Grizzlymon and their partners transverse the Dark Area they are attacked by many evil Digimon, though they defeat them all. They eventually find Michi and Angewomon, though Rasenmon has Grizzlymon stay out of the action due to how powerful Angewomon had become as a result of GranDracmon's power, with Angewomon now equal in power to Rasenmon. As the fight continues Angewomon is suddenly surprise attacked by Machinedramon, who proceeds to take over the battle allowing Rasenmon and Grizzlymon to reach GranDracmon. Grizzlymon tries to help Rasenmon fight but is easily defeated by its Mega level opponent and reverts back to Bearmon, with Rasenmon blocking GranDracmon's attempts to freeze them. As GranDracmon prepares to finish them off, LovelyAngemon and Machinedramon charge in and attack GranDracmon – Sara having successfully snapped them out of their brainwashing. GranDracmon attempts to freeze then all for all eternity again, with the three Megas fighting back. As they launch a combined attack, GranDracmon finds LovelyAngemon's light beautiful after which the group suddenly teleport out of the Dark Area and wake up in the real World, the Digimon all back in their Rookie forms. Confused as to what happened, the group theorize that GranDracmon killed itself by running into the light and celebrate their assumed victory. Illuminating Light A Guide to the Rainbow

Rasenmon later spars with LovelyAngemon, like it had with the other Tamers' Mega level Digimon. The spar ends as a draw, with both Digimon reverting to the Rookie forms after running out of energy. Clash Battle! LovelyAngemon

When the groups Champion level Digimon were fighting a group of Spiral, a Spiral-4036Y spawns in front of Kazuma and Grizzlymon and the duo run away after Kazuma remembers a lesson he learned from Takumi in which he doesn't have to do everything himself. Filmon warp digivolves to Rasenmon and BaoHuckmon digivolves to SaviorHuckmon, after which the duo proceed to defeat the Spiral as it chases Kazuma and Grizzlymon. Kazuma & The Upperclassman

Sometime after that; Rasenmon, HeavyLeomon, SaviorHuckmon, and Grizzlymon defeat a large amount of Spiral and notice that the amounts they had to defeat were getting lower – though rather than celebrate realise this was most likely because something else was going on. As they clear out more Spiral they find a group attacking a group of Lalamon, though they are "saved" by Sandiramon, who defeated the Spiral whilst simultaneously hurting the Lalamon. The group are mad at this, though a fight is defused when they learn Sandiramon is one of the Deva, after which it informs them that the Four Holy Beasts were awakening and later learn from Kumbhiramon that they were awakening due to the lower amount of Spirals restoring the balance of the Digital World meaning they no longer had to slumber.

A few days later the group try out Eiji's app which he created to allow communication between the Real and Digital Worlds though whilst trying it out they are attacked by a group of Spiral, which the group proceed to defeat – with Herissmon warp digivolving to Rasenmon. They travel the Digital World testing out the app but their tests are stopped when Seraphimon of the Three Archangels and Examon of the Royal Knights fight as a result of the Archangels refusing to help the Royal Knights find Lucemon, with their attacks causing a split in the ground, the Tamers and Partner Digimon falling into it. When the group finally get out of the hole they find Jesmon trying to convince Crusadermon to get the Archangels help by talking to them but Crusadermon laughs stating that wasn't possible and that they had to get into the domain to kill Lucemon and that Seraphimon was obviously sheltering the Demon Lord in its former home. Realising that the Tamers were friends with Takumi and Sara, who had attacked the Digital World with a group of Spiral, Crusadermon decides it would be best to kill the entire group, including Mon, which is enough to spur Jesmon into battle against its fellow Royal Knight. Jesmon sends the rest of the group to fight Examon, then battles Crusasdermon to see which of their ideals was right. Rasenmon attempts to stop the battle, though its cries go unheard. Needing to stop the battle, Rasenmon fires its attacks against the attacks of both Digimon, neutralising them. Noticing their attacks had stopped, the duo notice it wasn't the other that had stopped them and finally notice Rasenmon. Rasenmon is unable to talk them out of fighting and the fight continues, though they stop fighting after Zhuqiaomon awakens and demands to know why they were all fighting each other. The Time of Awakening Approaches! The Mighty Heartbeat of the Four Holy Beasts

Unsatisfied with the explanations of the quarrelling factions Zhuqiaomon decides to take the matters into its own hands and joins the battle. Mon however is able to stop the fighting, following Eiji's advice, by pointing out that not all members of the groups had let their opinions be known and set up a summit between the Four Holy Beasts, Royal Knights, Three Archangels, and the Tamers. Before the meeting, the group are attacked by Spiral though the Deva, the Deva also attending the meeting, though the Tamers and the Deva are able to take them all out. The summit doesn't go well however, as the Archangels refuse to get involved in the Spiral problem and Examon pisses off the Holy Beasts by pointing out how badly their previous attempt at dealing with the Spiral had gone — as they and sent them to the Dark Area, which had cause them to learn how to transverse between the Dark Area, Digital World, and Human World. Before a fight escalates the Tamers are able to defuse the situation by calling for a break. They then decide to talk to each group individually, with Caturamon escorting the Protagonist, Rasenmon, Michi, and LovelyAngemon to the Archeangels. The group are ambushed by a group of Spiral on the way, though not having the time to deal with them they instead run passed them. Upon arrival they find the Archangels fighting Machinedramon and Gaiomon and join the fight to stop them, though Sara summons a group of Spiral which are able to stall the group long enough for Sara and Takumi to complete their goal, after which they flee through a portal. The Tamers are then able to convince the archangels to end the meeting amicably rather than have it devolve into fighting, and, due to the hard work of the others convincing the other groups to trust them as well the three groups agree to work together. A Digimon Summit Begins? A Digimon Summit Begins?

When the Protagonist is convinced into downloading the new "Mephisgram" app, Herrismon and its partner try to come up with what type of picture they should take. As they ponder, they see Impmon about to kill a group of humans and stop it. Impmon then notices the smartphone, and, sensing Mephistomon from inside the app, jumps into the phone – the phone also sucking in Herissmon and its partner. Once inside, they are confronted by Mephistomon, the apps creator, who attacks them – not wanting a Tamer to stop its plan. Battle Challenge: Mephistomon Herissmon warp digivolves to Rasenmon and easily defeats Mephistomon, though it runs away saying it had stolen a Beelzemon's power and that it would use it when the time was right. As they search for it, they come across Impmon again and tell it that they had fought Mephistomon. As Impmon demands to know where it was, they are attacked by Gulfmon, the newly digivolved version of Mephistomon who had used the power of its app to digivolve. As Gulfmon attacks them, it becomes more and more powerful during the fight due to all the data constantly being uploaded to Mephisgram. Rasenmon fights and stalls Gulfmon, with Impmon leaving to search for its power, and after a long fought battle – Gulfmon wins. Before it can kill Rasenmon and its Tamer however, it is interrupted by Beelzemon and Gallantmon, with Gallantmon having found the last of Beelzemon's data and allowing it to have it back. The combined might of Rasenmon, a member of the Seven Deadly Digimon, and a member of the Royal Knights isn't enough to defeat Gulfmon however which forces Beelzemon and Gallantmon to digivolve to Beelzemon: Blast Mode and Gallantmon: Crimson Mode. The three of them are then able to kill Gulfmon. Clash Battle: Gulfmon

Some time after the summit; Rasenmon, HeavyLeomon, and Grizzlymon clear out Digital Points. Kazuma wonders if they can use the Digital Point to travel to the Digital World, since other Digimon and Spiral were able to do so, though Keito states he had already thought of this and that they weren't able to do so. Rasenmon decides to try something out, wondering if it was what the Spiral do to get to the Digital World, and to everyone's surprise is able to open a portal to the Digital World. Rasenmon leads the group through it, only for it to instead lead to the Dark Area. As they transverse the Dark Area they find Seraphimon and Sandiramon attacking Dorumon and Takumi and jump in to protect them, however during the battle a group of Spiral arrive and, using their new skill hacked into them by Eiji Futami, paralyzing everyone. As they are unable to move the Spiral attack them and the entire group de-digivolve back to their Rookie forms. Luckily for the group, Takumi and Dorumon return to the side of good and defeat the Spiral with their new form, Gaiomon Fierce Blade Mode. To Wield a Blade for Justice Rasenmon then opens up another portal, taking everyone back to the Human World. God's Territory Having learned from Takumi that Eiji was evil, they decide to confront him. The group are able to find him and, finding him with Sara and Machinedramon – who are in the middle of fighting Cherubimon, LovelyAngemon, and Mitamamon – join the battle. The group fail to stop Eiji however as he is able to have Machinedramon and the Spiral stall them long enough to be able to run through the gateway to the Kernel. Unfortunately for Eiji, the gateway remained open due to Cherubimon using its remaining power with the Tamers being able to get Rasenmon, Jesmon, and their Tamers through the gateway as well before Cherubimon passes out. God's Territory Upon reaching the Kernel, Rasenmon runs out of energy and de-digvolves back to Herissmon. The End of the Road: Eiji's Fulfilled Wish

As they travel through the Kernel, they are attacked by a group of Spiral sent by Eiji and so Herissmon warp digivolves to Rasenmon to fight them alongside Jesmon. After defeating them they eventually find Eiji, and they once again defeat his Spiral with Eiji shocked as they were not meant to be able to do that without Gaiomon's help. Jesmon then reveals that it had managed to copy Gaiomon's ability to stop their new paralysis technique, rendering it useless. Undeterred, Eiji summons more of them and has them attack the Humans, figuring they would rather save their partners than stop him. After they defeat those Spiral, they group are suddenly ambushed by a memory revealing not only did his Mother die whilst stranded in the Digital World, she gave birth whilst there with Mon being his younger sister. As he freaks out upon learning this, one of the Diaboromon type Spiral reveals it is actually a Spiral-4004Y then attacks him – with this being the original Spiral that had glitched. As the group question the fact that this Spiral was acting on its own instead of being part of the Hive Mind, it names itself Spiral Origin and reveals that it plans to wipe out both Humans and Digimon as revenge for them persecuting the Spiral. Jesmon and Rasenmon try to stop it, but it easily defeats them – having gained the power of the Kernel thanks to Eiji. It then banishes everyone from the Kernel and begins its plan to destroy both Worlds. The End of the Road: Eiji's Fulfilled Wish

Upon awakening they are attacked by a group of Spiral, and Hackmon and Herissmon are unable to digivolve and end up having to be saved by Machinedramon and LovelyAngemon (with Sara having turned back to the side of good). Eiji is talked into helping them back into the Kernel though he tells them that it would be impossible to get back into it in the conventional way but theorises that by hacking Herrismon and accessing its connection to the Spiral Hive Mind they could manifest a gate that would allow them to travel to Spiral Origin, who just so happened to be inside the Kernel. He whips up a program that allows them to do this and installs it into Herissmon – who is then able to open said gate though the gates instead send them to the other Tamers one by one, which allows them to join in on the assault against Spiral Origin. Eiji asks Herissmon if this was on purpose, though it states it wasn't and the gates must've just been reacting to the fact it did want to reunite with the others. After recruiting everyone else, they go through the gate once again only for it to instead send them to the Dark Area – with them being dropped right in front of GranDracmon. GranDracmon is delighted that its beloved Tamers had appeared before it though with it not yet being strong enough to defeat them it survives their combined attack, uses Eye of the Gorgon on Herissmon and is able to brainwash Herissmon and cause it to warp digivolve to Rasenmon Fury Mode once again. Before it can do anything however, the Protagonist is able to snap it out of it and revert it back to Herissmon simply by calling out to it which annoys GranDracmon. It manifests a copy of Rasenmon Fury Mode and has it attack the group, though Herrismon warp digivolves to Rasenmon and is able to tap into the real Fury Mode's powers causing it to use a new attack featuring the powers of both Rasenmon and Fury Mode, which it uses to defeat the copy. Defeated, GranDracmon retreats. Rasenmon is then finally able to open a gate to the Kernel, though Spiral Origin sends the Spiral Guardians (G-Spiral-6097, G-Spiral-6098, and G-Spiral-6099) through it from the other side to attack them. Newfound Power! Rasenmon and the Ties That Bind

As the group struggle against the Spiral Guardians they realize that they need more help to be able to defeat them. Grizzlymon, wanting to be more useful to the group as it couldn't do much whilst still stuck at the Champion level, forces itself to digivolve to Cerberusmon so that it could open a gate to the Dark Area so that more of their allies can join the battle. No one appears to come out of it though, which leads Spiral Origin to boast that it had used the Kernel's power to delete the Digital World, and assumes it had worked. It taunts the Tamers about the fact they had failed and that everyone was dead only for Sandiramon to tell it to shut up, which caused the group to realize they had indeed summoned at least one ally to help them. Spiral Origin freaks out, as it should've been dead alongside the Digital World, with Sandiramon telling them that the Digital World still existed as the Four Holy Beasts had managed to stop the deletion at the last second. Sandiramon then allows Cerberusmon to use the DigiCore it had been entrusted with by the Four Holy Beasts to be used to open multiple gates at once which allows all members of the Deva, Royal Knights, and Three Archangels to join the battle. With the group now being much bigger, their combined forces are able to defeat the Spiral Guardians. Spiral Origin revives them however, though the large group of newly summoned allies fight them and allow the Tamers to go to the Kernel. Vs. Guardians

In order to break into the Kernel the Digimon had to de-digivolve back to the Rookie level. Upon getting into it, they are ambushed by a group of weak Spiral leading them to all digivolve to the Champion level to defeat them. They continue to transverse the Kernel and are attacked by stronger Spiral, so digivolve once again to the Ultimate level to deal with them. Even more powerful Spiral show up though, so they once again digivolve – this time to the Mega level (with the exception of Cerberusmon, as it is unable to digivolve to Mega). Origin spawns even more Spiral, with everyone except Rasenmon fighting them. Rasenmon tries to talk Origin down and as it does, it is given power by rebellious Spiral who didn't want Origin to destroy the World and instead wanted to be friends with everyone (as Origin was unable to exert its will over the entire Hive Mind at that point). Origin uses the ones it still had control over to become its own unique form, though the rebellious Spiral power up Rasenmon up enough to allow it to defeat Spiral Origin. This also causes all the other Spiral disperse as well. Destiny Calls, Future Weavers

At some point, with Takumi and Dorumon now back on the side of good, Rasenmon sparred with Gaiomon Fierce Blade Mode in the Digital World as Rasenmon wanted to do so, having already sparred with all the other Megas. They battle for a long time, eventually ending with a draw after both run out of energy and de-digivolve at the same time. Clash Battle! Gaiomon Fierce Blade Mode
