Parasimon is a Parasite Digimon. It is a special Digimon that can't survive without leeching off of other beings, even though it is a Mega. Parasimon is powerless when by itself, but when it gathers in numbers, it can easily defeat Champion Digimon. When Parasimon leeches off of another, it can draw out the host Digimon's abilities to their utmost limit, exhibiting a terrifying power. Also, it can amplify the host's desires, and it is capable of taking advantage of those weaknesses. The existence of Parasite Digimon types other than Parasimon has been confirmed, and the influence of Parasite Digimon, in addition to viralization, is considered the cause of berserk Digimon.[2]

Design[]
Parasimon resembles an oversized pink spider. The back half of its abdomen is green, and in place of a spider's spinnerets it has a cartoonish, sneering mouth with lipstick and shark-like teeth. On its front, in place of a face it has a large, bulging eye with a humanoid green iris, circled by eight glowing red spider eyes. Below its eyes are a nest of green cirri which can extend to ensnare enemies. When viewed from behind, the cirri give the impression of hair to what resembles a grotesque, cyclopean head.

Machmon allows a Parasimon to take him over in order to maintain his title and attain his maximum speed, but Parasimon makes him aggressively attack the other racers and Machmon intends to commit suicide to stop Parasimon from taking anyone else over. Matt and WereGarurumon Sagittarius Mode try to save Machmon from Parasimon, forcing Parasimon to reveal that it's in Machmon's engine core. Matt manages to force Parasimon to fully reveal itself by kicking the engine core, but the evil Mega proves to be too strong for the Ultimate. Finally, their determination to save their friend causes WereGarurumon to digivolve into MetalGarurumon who rips Parasimon out of Machmon and destroys it before saving Machmon from falling to his death.
