Oryxmon is a Mammal Digimon. It armor-digivolved through the power of the "Digi-Egg of Hope". This Digimon, which has the appearance of a large black goat, has had the duty of guarding treasures and ruins since ancient tmes. It is programmed to protect important data by capitalizing on its special characteristics and putting up a powerful barrier. However, because it is a goat, some of them seem to have an embarrassing issue of completely eating document data. The thief Digimon Harpymon is definitely its natural enemy.[4]

Oryxmon is a quadrupedal goat Digimon with black fur and a white beard. It wears a white and gold mask set with a red gem, while two long, gold, curved horns jut from its head. It also wears a silver gorget inscribed with DigiCode and on which hangs a golden bell. It has a shackle on each foot. The DigiCode on its gorget read かりとかげをむすびとにむかいしまなこにわれを (かりと影を/結びと/に向かいし/眼に我を Kari to kage wo / musubi to / ni mukaishi / manako ni ware wo?), which are fragments of an inscription from Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro that reads in full "When Light and Shadow are joined, set us in the eyes of the goat that faces the high sun." (光と影を結び時つぐる、高き日に向かいし山羊の眼に我を収めよ Hikari to kage wo musubi tokitsugeru, takaki nichi ni mukaishi yagi no manako ni ware wo osame yo?).
