Orcamon is a Sea Animal Digimon. It armor-digivolved through the power of the "Digi-Egg of Reliability". As it is equipped with a life jacket and lifebuoy and has a conscientious personality, it is an overly cautious type. Although some parts of it are dull‐witted in that it breaks things by hitting them too much, it is actually a savior of the ocean that has excellent agility. There are many Digimon that rely on it and come to it for advice. When a battle breaks out, the speed of its movement increases; on land, it runs as if it is cutting through the wind, and underwater, it swims elegantly without disturbing the current. If it gets into a pinch, it will call its comrades using high-frequency waves and attack as a group.[5]

Development[]
Orcamon became a Digimon after winning the "BTFS" during the first Bandai-Town FAX Service Digimon Illustration Contest in 1999 alongside Huntermon, Nikkorimon, and Punch Narabimon. Orcamon was originally pitched as "Irukamon," but its name was changed due to the existence of Rukamon. It's description was pitched as follows: "it walks on two legs and cannot swim."[6]
