Nidhoggmon is a Dark Dragon Digimon. It is a colossal Digimon that takes vast amounts of energy into its body, and is constantly overheating. The color emitted by its wings represents the extent of its overheating; the more it approaches the danger level, the redder it becomes. It repeatedly destroys and absorbs things, leaving nothing behind in its wake.[2]

Attacks:

  • Annihilention: Red-hot beams fired from its eyes.
  • Meltdown (Rudiment): Condenses the energy within its body, and breathes it out of its mouth as a wave.

Design[]

Nidhoggmon is a colossal, serpentine Digimon with purplish-gray skin and boomerang-shaped head similar to that of Diplocaulus. Its body and tail glow with incandescent heat peaking through openings in its skin. Nidhoggmon has three claws on each hand, along with two pairs of forked wings, five pairs of glowing red eyes, and a mouth full of jagged, sharp teeth.

According to Kenji Watanabe, Nidhoggmon is so big, its tail would extend from Shibuya to Asakusa.[3]

At some point during Yuuki's rematch with the NPC that used EX7-046: Metallicdramon and EX7-014: Volcanicdramon a copy of EX7-060: Nidhoggmon ended up in her trash with her later reviving it. She presumably used Nidhoggmon's trash effect to revive itself for 7 memory. Later in the duel, when Volcanicdramon is played via Metallicdramon's on deletion effect, Volcanicdramon's on play effect destroys Nidhoggmon due to it being the Digimon on Yuuki's field with the lowest DP. Yuuki wanted this to happen though as her plan was to protect EX7-062: HeavyMetaldramon alongside using Nidhoggmon's on deletion effect to revive EX7-056: Orochimon. DEBUG.1-2 HEAVY METAL PLAY
