This is a list of characters from the Digimon game Digimon New Century.

Main characters[]

Protagonist[]

The Protagonist is the DTF's Special Team team leader and is partnered to Hackmon.

The Protagonist can either be female or male and their design can be customised.

The Protagonist's name defaults to the name set in the player's social media account used to verify their identity.

The default female design has light brown hair with two small twin tails, the hair having light blue hair clips and bobbles in it. She has yellow eyes. She also wears a white/red t-shirt which reads "DTF" in red, and has a red ribbon. She wears a red jacket with a black shirt that has purple detailing and wears white socks with red lines and a pair of black/red boots. The default male has black spiky hair, yellow eyes, and wears a black headband that reads DTF in white. He wears a black jacket with a white t-shirt and a blue scarf. He also wears black fingerless gloves, white shorts, and white/blue shoes.

During the game's original Beta, the Protagonists original design featured the female with light brown hair, orange eyes, a white and orange jacket with a black shirt, an orange mini-skirt, orange shoes, and black socks. Her design had spiky brown hair, orange eyes, a white and orange jacker, black pants, and white and orange shoes. Although these are no longer the default designs, they can be unlocked as alternate designs.

During Halloween, the female Protagonist has silver hair and wears pink devil horns and tail. She has red eyes and wears a black/white long sleeved crop top with a devil design on it, black shorts with a white cross on it, a white belt with a chain that ends with a green eyeball, purple stockings/socks with one of them resembling a devil's harpoon, black boots with a purple sole, netting on her arms and stomach, and black purple gloves with one of them being larger than the other and being imprinted with a bat logo. The male dresses similarly though has blue eyes and wears a hoodie with a different design and ripped black jeans.

They also have animal outfits where the female protagonist dresses in a brown cat thing outfit whilst the male dresses in a brown dog themed outfit.

During Christmas, they have red/green Christmas themed oufits, blonde hair, and blue eyes.

They also have other outfits that have not got images uploaded to this wiki.

Hackmon wakes the Protagonist up and accompanies them for their first day of training after having become the leader of the DTF's Special Team.

The Protagonist quickly makes friends with Satoru Sakamoto and Agumon, then meets Wu Hai and Lopmon. Wu Hai challenges his fellow Tamers to battle, but is defeated. They then befriend them. The same thing later happens with Youko Aragaki and Lunamon.

Some time later, they are about to have a rematch, with Lunamon about to digivolve but Lunamon stops the digivolution when Alice Yazawa and Lalamon arrive due to Youko no longer caring about the battle as she was fangirling over Alice instead.

Shortly afterwards they have their rematch, with Lunamon digivolving to Lekismon. Lekismon is defeated once again, however.

This information is no longer considered canon.
Original Protagonist (New Century)

Tetsuya Sakamoto[]

Tetsuya Sakamoto (坂本彻也 Sakamoto Tetsuya?) is is Satoru Sakamoto's Uncle.[1] His partner is Paildramon. He is a Minister and is also the top person in charge of the DTF.[1]

When he and Shingo Kamiya were young their partners, alongside Sakuyamon, MagnaAngemon, and MetalGarurumon, fought Titamon, VenomMyotismon, Piedmon, Machinedramon, and Apocalymon. Though they defeated Titamon, VenomMyotismon, Machinedramon, and Piedmon — Apocalymon managed to flee.

When Satoru was a kid, Tetsuya gave him a D-Zero and invited him to the D-Zero experiment. When Satoru successfully became partners with Agumon the experiment succeeded allowing all children to become partners with Digimon.[1]

Paildramon[]

Paildramon is Tetsuya Sakamoto's Partner.

In the past Paildramon, Beelzemon, Sakuyamon, MagnaAngemon, and MetalGarurumon defeated Titamon, VenomMyotismon, Machinedramon, and Piedmon. After Apocalymon arrived Paildramon digivolved to Imperialdramon Dragon Mode which caused Apocalymon to retreat.

More than a decade later; a Millenniummon sends Hiroyuki, Kaoru Hyuuga, the Protagonist, Agumon, Tinkermon, a few other DTF members, and a nearby Gotsumon to the past with its Time Unlimited attack. The group arrive at the aforementioned battle, with their presence causing the results of the battle to change. Instead of losing, the villains win and capture the previous heroes — including the child version of Hiroyuki. The sent group were all lacking their partners, meaning none of the sent Digimon could digivolve. Gabumon manages to avoid escape though, and ends up sensing that the adult Hiroyuki was an older version of his partner. The joy of seeing Hiroyuki grow up into an adult, and Hiroyuki's joy at seeing his partner one last time, causes Gabumon to warp digivolve to Gabumon (Bond of Friendship) — who then proceeds to defeat Apocalymon. DTF are able to find the location of their allies, and send a portal to the past to return them to the future. Gabumon and Hiroyuki say their goodbyes, with Gabumon promising it would save the child version of Hiroyuki and their friends from Apocalymon's minions. It presumably was able to do so, since they were all still alive in the future.

At some point, he became partners with Phantomon with the two secretly joining forces.

Hyuuga Technology performed illegal experiments, which caused DTF to send the captain and the Protagonist's team to investigate. During the investigation, it was discovered that Hiroyuki and his current partner Phantomon were preparing to open a channel to an unknown domain. Under the guidance of King Drasil's will, the captain dissuaded Hiroyuki's plan, but unexpectedly learned his's true thoughts. When Hiroyuki was opening the gate of the channel, Kaoru followed the team to stop him. He brought his father’s D-Seed in front him, trying to use family love to soften him.
