Fiction[]

When Shoto Kazama first plays Digimon Liberator, he is shocked to see Arisa Kinosaki's Junkmon. While Arisa explains gameplay to him Shoto follows her instructions, bringing to life one of his Muchomon trading card through his D-STORAGE. Delighted to see each other, Shoto and Muchomon hug. Welcome to LACUNA It then spends the next three months by Shoto's side, though they lose every single duel. DigitalGate Open DEBUG.7-2 THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN GREEN AND RED

When Pteromon joins Shoto's side during his duel with Frozen Knight it goes into the D-STORAGE, usurping Muchomon's place as Shoto's partner. Out of Control (Part 1) This upset Muchomon, made it jealous of Pteromon, and made it think the time it had spent with Shoto was a waste of time. It didn't admit this to Shoto or Pteormon, though. DEBUG.7-2 THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN GREEN AND RED Though Shoto had replaced Muchomon as his main partner, he continued to use Muchomon in his duels.

During the one week maintenance, Pteromon and Muchomon end up waiting inside the partner Digimon waiting area — unable to do much but wait for their partners to log back in. Pteromon complains about this to Muchomon, though Muchomon says there's no point complaining since there's nothing they can do about it. Pteromon protests and complains even more, then moves from complaining about that to complain about Shoto himself, confused as to why Muchomon never got annoyed at having to babysit Shoto in the tutorial area for three months since he was terrible at duelling — Muchomon simply saying it was fun. It figures this meant it must be annoyed at fighting stronger opponents in different parts of LACUNA, but Muchomon disagrees and says that's fun too — Pteromon unable to get its head around Muchomon's words and eventually just comes to the conclusion that Muchomon really loves Shoto and so will have fun as long as he's around — a fact it agrees with. This suddenly turns to Pteromon accusing Muchomon of being jealous, since it took Muchomon's spot as Shoto's main partner — it saying that if the shoe were on the other foot it be angry at Muchomon for sure but Muchomon lies and says that isn't the case and it likes Pteromon. It does admit to being jealous of it from time to time, though. Pteromon enquires as to what Muchomon was jealous of, with it saying because it's green, because it can fly, and because Shoto changed after meeting it. As Muchomon sadly talks about wanting to fly so it could fly around with Shoto like Pteromon does, Pteromon changes to comforting Muchomon and says it's fine as whenever they go somewhere they'll take Muchomon with them and that it can't take care of Shoto on its own and so needs Muchomon's help. Cheered up a little, it wonders if it can fly in the sky with Muchomon one day — Pteromon saying that it will do so one day.

The first day after the maintenance, whilst Shoto shopped with Arisa, Muchomon — whilst sat inside the D-STORAGE — thought to itself about how it lied to Pteromon — it was indeed upset that Pteromon had taken its place as main partner and that it often felt like the time they had spent together meant nothing. It listened in on Shoto having fun without it and saw how he was buying an accessory intended to match with his partner. Muchomon assumed he'd get a green one, but to its surprise — he bought a red and yellow one, the colors of Muchomon. As he summons Muchomon to show it off, he starts to think maybe it was a mistake since it actually seems to be gold rather than yellow but a pleased Muchomon says it looks great and that it was happy he bought it. This causes Muchomon to realize that Shoto was still Shoto, they're still partners, and that their time together hadn't been a waste of time. Pteromon becomes jealous of this moment together, though denies it, and the three of them have fun laughing over it. DEBUG.7-2 THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN GREEN AND RED

Months later, the debugging team capture multiple Maquinamon all over LACUNA. Pteromon refuses to carry Shoto around though, feeling Shoto is too heavy. This has Shoto put Muchomon back as his partner, as Muchomon would carry him around as Kokatorimon. Pteromon then simply watches Shoto and Muchomon complete debug team missions from within the D-STORAGE. Shoto, Arisa, Owen Dreadnought, and Violet "Vi" Inboots find themselves on one such mission to capture a Maquinamon in the Obsidian Desert. It proves too fast for the humans, leading Owen and Shoto to digivolve their partners to the Champion level. SELECT FEW (Part 1)

When Shoto decides to make progress in the game's storyline, he mutes his notifications. He defeats a storyline NPC in Lapis Marine, and during the duel, Muchomon possesses a stack in which digivolves all the way to MedievalGallantmon. As he makes further progress, he decides to go to Lapis Stadium Tower so that he can duel the Deep Savers NPCs — this time as part of the story. Pteromon complains about how Digimon get wet from the rain and humans don't and goes into Shoto's D-STORAGE to avoid the rain. Muchomon shows it doesn't mind the rain and offers to let Shoto ride on it as Kokatorimon so they could get to the Tower quicker. Despite having turned down carrying Shoto round multiple times, Pteromon becomes jealous — to Shoto's amusement. Pteromon doesn't deny it, and says it'll just stay inside the D-STORAGE. Muchomon then digivovles to Kokatorimon. RAID ON THE WORLD (Part 1)

Other forms[]

Kokatorimon[]

Kokatorimon is Muchomon's Champion form.

When the debugging team capture multiple Maquinamon all over LACUNA, Pteromon refuses to carry Shoto around, feeling Shoto is too heavy. This has Shoto put Muchomon back as his partner, with Muchomon would carrying him around as Kokatorimon. SELECT FEW (Part 1) Shoto, Arisa, Owen Dreadnought, and Violet "Vi" Inboots find themselves on one such mission to capture a Maquinamon in the Obsidian Desert. It proves too fast for the humans, leading Owen and Shoto to digivolve their partners to the Champion level. Now on the backs of their bigger faster Digimon, they are able to get closer to it. Owen figures out where it's going to go, and as Shoto is closer he relays a message for him to capture it. Shoto and Kokatorimon hide behind the corner, with their ambush allowing Shoto to turn Maquinamon into a card. As most of the group celebrate the success of the mission, Shoto tries to get Owen involved though Owen wasn't interested in doing so. Once the celebrations wear down, Shoto complains at being overworked by the debug team, with Violet seemingly trying to comfort him by saying things hadn't been this hectic until he and Arisa had joined. Unlike Shoto though, Arisa had been enjoying her time. This pleases Shoto, since he felt like she hadn't been able to have fun and explore LACUNA since she had spent all her time training him to get better at duelling. Violet tries to invite her "rivals" to do something with her, though is cut off when they receive messages on their D-STORAGEs. Shoto is told that a rogue NPC had been sighted nearby, whilst Arisa is told that another Maquinamon had been seen. The group of them split up to deal with both issues, with Owen/Kokatorimon and Shoto going after the NPC and Arisa and Violet going after the Maquinamon. SELECT FEW (Part 1)

Whilst riding on the back of their partners to get to the rogue NPC, Shoto calls out to Owen about the fact he knows Owen is trying to avoid him and feels they need to have a conversation. Owen cuts him off though, and brings up that Shoto had forgotten his promise to him from when they were children. Shoto confirms he does indeed not remember making a promise with him, but that even then they need to be able to work together since they had been assigned as partners by Yao. Done with the conversation, Owen has Dimetromon run faster so that he wouldn't have to talk to Shoto any more. Pteromon, from inside Shoto's D-STORAGE, tells Shoto he can tell the two of them are close — though Shoto denies this since the conversation was awkward and Owen ran away from him. It tells Shoto not to give up, and that if he does want to get along with him better there will be many more chances for them to do so.

Everyone comes to a stop, as a giant battlefield forms in front of them — with Shoto confused since they were 200 meters away from the rogue NPC. Owen contacts Shoto via voice call, and tells him to get his Emblem ready as a debug team member was about to fight three Deep Savers NPC at once and as such the duo should join in to even up the numbers. As they prepare to duel, Kokatorimon goes back inside the D-STORAGE so that its Tamer could duel. CHAIN OF LIBERATION (Part 1)

Muchomon then digivovles to Kokatorimon to take Shoto to the tower. Unknown to the trio, the admins had sent a notification saying that all currently logged in debug members had to go to the Garden — Shoto the only one who had not done so as he had muted his notifications. This forces Cool Boy and Unchained to log into LACUNA so they could go get him and prevent the trio from being destroyed alongside LACUNA by the Digimon in the black holes. RAID ON THE WORLD (Part 1) As they continues their quest playing, Shoto talks to Kokatorimon about how it's weird it is that there's no NPCs around. Whilst still mid conversation, they are surprised when Unchained comes up to them. They become even more surprised when Unchained says they had been looking for Shoto. As Unchained introduces themself, Shoto asks why such a high ranking special consultant was looking for him then brings up the fact that other players shouldn't be allowed to come into his quest area. Unchained explains that they and Cool Boy had used their managerial authority to invade the area, as they needed to find Shoto — with Cool Boy's involvement shocking Shoto. Unchained then begins to explain what was currently happening in LACUNA. OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 1)

Deramon[]

Deramon is Muchomon's Ultimate form.

Some time after joining the debugging team, Shoto duels an unspecified opponent. He uses Muchomon, who was possessing Deramon, then digivolves it to MedievalGallantmon. DEBUG.7-2 THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN GREEN AND RED

MedievalGallantmon[]

MedievalGallantmon is Muchomon's Mega form.

When Shoto Kazama decides to make progress in the game's storyline, he mutes his notifications. He defeats a storyline NPC in Lapis Marine, and during the duel, Muchomon was possessing a stack in which it had digivolved all the way to EX8-074: MedievalGallantmon — with MedievalGallantmon destroying the final security shield. RAID ON THE WORLD (Part 1)

Some time after joining the debugging team, Shoto duels an unspecified opponent. He uses Muchomon, who was possessing Deramon, then digivolves it to MedievalGallantmon. MedievalGallantmon stands alongside Zephagamon — both of Shoto's partners by his side. This may have been the previously mentioned duel. DEBUG.7-2 THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN GREEN AND RED

Gameplay notes[]

This section includes the gameplay notes of Shoto's Muchomon that weren't possessed by his partner one.

One day, Shoto and Arisa duel. Shoto plays BT15-008: Muchomon. He then has Muchomon attack Arisa's security, revealing BT11-100: Megalo Spark. Megalo Spark deletes Muchomon. Shoto then plays a second Muchomon. On a later turn, Shoto digivolves Muchomon into ST18-07: Kokatorimon. DigitalGate Open

During Shoto's duel with Frozen Knight, he digivolves ST18-01: Fluffymon into ST18-05. On Frozen Knight's turn, it has EX7-017: SnowAgumon attack Shoto's security, with this revealing another copy of Muchomon. SnowAgumon survives the battle due to having higher DP. He later digivolves Muchomon into ST18-08: Galemon. When Galemon attacks SnowAgumon on Shoto's next turn, he uses Muchomon's inherited effect piercing effect to check one of Frozen Knight's security cards. When Frozen Knight digivolves EX7-021: CrysPaledramon into EX7-023: Hexeblaumon, Hexeblaumon's on digivolving effect removes Muchomon and Fluffymon from Galemon's digivolution sources — sending them to the trash. Out of Control (Part 1)

Shoto's opening hand in his duel with Yao Qinglan has two copies of Muchomon.[1] After hatching EX7-004: Fluffymon, he digivolves it to one of them. He then plays a copy of ST18-04: Pteromon, who's effect causes Shoto to get a third Muchomon.[1] Later in the duel, he digivolves it to Kokatorimon. When BT19-002: Puyoyomon uses its inherited effect to send BT17-047: Parrotmon back to Shoto's hand, Muchomon is sent to the Trash since it was under it as a digivolution source. Vortex Resonance (Part 1) Shoto plays another Muchomon and attacks with it later in the duel. It survives, since it checks BT19-082: Yao Qinglan. Near the end of the duel, Shoto uses EX8-074: MedievalGallantmon's Alliance effect to suspend Muchomon and add its DP to its own — taking it from 11000 to 12000. Yao then uses a different Puyoyomon's effect to send Muchomon to the bottom of Shoto's deck. Vortex Resonance (Part 2)

At some point during Shoto and Owen Dreadnought's duel, Shoto used a Muchomon. It gets destroyed by BT21-029: Medusamon. Re:START (Part 2)
