Mayu Kohinata (小日向 真由, Kohinata Mayu^?) is a main character in Digimon ReArise. Her Partner is Kudamon.

Appearance

Mayu is a teenage girl with fair skin, short brown hair, and brown eyes. She wears a pink shirt with long sleeves and many brown ropes on it, blue shorts, white socks, and brown loafers.

Description

Mayu is kind-hearted and likes to bake sweets.

As long as it's what everyone else wants to do, Mayu will go along with it as it will make them happy - even if it's not what she herself wants to do. This eventually sends Mayu into depression after she sees that Mon and Kazuma Natsuyagi can make their own choices and she realises that she is unable to do so herself, having agreed to study abroad simply because her friends and family were excited she had been offered the chance which lead to her agreeing to it because it would make everyone happy, even though she didn't want to be split from them. After a chat with Chihiro Tsukimori, in which Chihiro is easily able to deduce that Mayu didn't want to do it she tells Mayu to think about what she really wants to do. Unable to decide what to do she decides that she is useless though after Chirinmon protects Vajramon and Pajiramon and digivolves to Mitamamon Mayu is finally able to gain the resolve to make her own choices and decides to protect her friends and stop any fighting. A God Beast Digimon?! A Path for Mayu to Follow This allows her to stand up to Crusadermon, who had refused to trust the Humans and decided to murder Mayu for trying to get the Royal Knights to trust the Humans. Rather than follow through and murder Mayu, Crusadermon is instead convinced to trust the Humans after Mayu gives a passionate speech about Humans and Digimon trusting each other.
