Fiction[]

During the Kamakura period, five children were offered up to the Kemonogami in an attempt to gain their powers, with four of them becoming partners to the Four Sovereign Monsters, with the fifth Haruchika Minase, becoming partner to Fanglongmon. Haruchika had a wicked mind however, which caused the Kemonogami to turn savage. He wanted to use their powers to return to the human world and kill his sister, the entire Minase clan, and then destroy the entire human world in revenge for being sacrificed. His rage and thirst for revenge caused Fanglongmon to dark evolve to Master, who Haruchika tells to destroy the world.

In order to give it more power, Haruchika tells Master to absorb him, which he does. The other four chidren partnered to the Four Sovereign Monsters are almost able to defeat Master, but at the last second end up being unable to actually kill their friend. In order to help save the world, the Four Sovereign Monsters used their powers to seal Master and Haruchika off in four different directions with them unable to leave the shrine. This is able to last hundreds of years (thousands of years in alternate world time), though Master eventually broke free due to their powers weakening.

Fifty years later (thousands of years in alternate world time), in 2020, Master had managed to steal half of Miyuki Minase's soul. He has many minions, including the Kenzoku, Piedmon, Arukenimon, Cyclonemon, MegaSeadramon, Monzaemon, Garurumon, and Gazimon. He instructs them to sacrifice children, telling them that it would save the World as sacrificing children lifts the fog, ceases the destruction, and returns the spaces swallowed up by the void. The Kenzoku were the ones controlling the fog though, so Master was simply manipulating them for his own gain. He fed off her Miyuki's soul for five decades, with this causing Miyuki to get weaker and weaker. Master tried to get the other half too but was unable to do so as Haru always protected her.

When Piedmon offers up Miyuki for sacrifice, Takuma Momozuka and Agumon end up going along as well as they had ran to the altar in the middle of her being sacrificed. When Takuma wakes up he hears Master stating that it wasn't enough and that it wanted power, knowledge, existence, soul, and heart as well. Miyuki's voice yells at Takuma not to stay there and he is suddenly teleported back to the school. Takuma wakes up and sees both Agumon and Miyuki, who was now able to talk properly. As they thank each other for saving each other, Master attacks the school having found where they are. Miyuki sings the song of the Minase Maiden, which causes the two worlds to be bound together once again. With Miyuki having gained her missing half soul back, Master swears he will reclaim it from her as the trio escape into the human world.

During the time that the trio and Piedmon spend in the human world, the shrine he is sealed in is destroyed giving Master some of its power back which allows him to flood the world with fog. He then senses Miyuki when she, Takuma, and Agumon return to the alternate world together.

When Takuma returns, he is separated from Miuyki with this separation allowing Master to mind control Miyuki. He uses her to attack the children alongside the Kenzoku over the course of multiple days though is never able to kill any of them. After Takuma fails to find her he returns to his friends and asks about her where abouts only for Master to launch another attack. The children are able to defeat the Kenzoku though Master prepares to attack as Miyuki herself. As Takuma wallows in despair about the fact that Miyuki was now evil, the Professor begs the group not to attack her with Renamon running in to try and reason with her. Renamon fails as Master's control was too strong, though it had managed to stir something up within Master's heart. To make sure Renamon couldn't cause the grasp over Miyuki to weaken, he attacks and easily defeats Renamon. Before he can kill Renamon, the Professor runs in the way stating that he would rather die than see Master kill those who had supported Miyuki. This causes Master to lose his control with Miyuki regaining control of her body. Master and Miyuki begin to fight over control of her body with Master eventually winning out. Not wanting the others to cause her to regain control again, Master retreats.

Master later attacks the amusement park with a group of Kenzoku, with the intention to kill Baihumon as it resided in a shrine under the amusement park with it using its powers to weaken Master (as mentioned in the truthful route). They injure most of the residents, though Jijimon and some of the others were able to escape to the throne room which they then barricade. Unable to get into it to kill Jijimon, Master leaves.

This happens in the moral route.

Master and the Kenzoku return to the amusement park with greater numbers and are able to break into the throne room. The children fight them, and during the battle Takuma is able to get through to Miyuki for a few seconds by mentioning their promise to save the world and the fact that her brother wont be safe if she destroys it. Wanting to save Miyuki and also the world, Takuma's desire causes Agumon to warp evolve to WarGreymon. The children defeat all the Kenzoku, with Miyuki's body beginning to go out of control. Kaito, Saki, and Minoru decide the time was right to kill her though Takuma and the Professor are able to talk them out of it by mentioning the fact they got through to her briefly that and they don't want anyone else to die, though Kaito only gives them one chance. The duo are able to get through to Miyuki by talking to her, though as she questions if she should return to the group she is taken over by Master again. He spawns a large group of Kenzoku who attack the children, whilst Master attacks Takuma with a sword made of dark energy. Jijimon dives in the way and takes the blow for Takuma, with Takuma trying to run to Jijimon to tend to his wounds and save him. The others drag Takuma out of the room, saving his life, since if they didn't Master most likely would've killed both of them. As the humans flee, Master finishes off Jijimon.

This happens in the harmonious route.

The Kenzoku are able to succeed despite this set back however, as they return to the amusement park with greater numbers and are able to kill Miu Shinonome. The group escape the park and defeat the rest of the Kenzoku, with Master retreating.

This happens in the wrathful route.

The Kenzoku are able to succeed despite this set back however, as they return to the amusement park with greater numbers and are able to kill Saki Kimishima. The group escape the park and defeat the rest of the Kenzoku, with Master retreating.

This happens in the truthful route.

The Kenzoku attack the barrier, with Miu Shinonome remembering about the trap door that leads to the prison. She opens it, and Jijimon and the others go into it to flee. As the Kenzoku manage to break in, Saki and Miu are the only ones left behind with one of them about to kill Saki. Ryo is able to get her out of the way of the hands and save her life, with the entire group able to escape to the prison. Having lost track of the children, Master leaves the amusement park.

Renamon is able to track down Master and offers to bring Master sacrifices in exchange for Miyuki's return. Surprised by this offer, Master agrees to give Miyuki back upon the resolution of its wish with Renamon now working as one of its minions.

This happens in the moral, harmonious and wrathful routes.

Renamon tries to tries to trick the children into being sacrificed, though they end up defeating him and the Kenzoku minions sent to kill them. The Professor is able to convince Renamon to join their side by pointing out that the Master is probably lying and Miyuki would be upset if she knew what Renamon had been doing. Master, disappointed at losing Renamon, suddenly appears and summons a group of Kenzoku to kill everyone whilst admitting that it had indeed been lying about ever giving Miyuki back. Renamon's voice is able to call out to Miyuki, who temporarily regains control. Renamon's desire causes it to warp evolve to Sakuyamon. It then defeats the Kenzoku, with the help of the children, though Master escapes before they can do anything to him.

This happens in the moral route.

Master, back in the shrine, undoes Miyuki's brainwashing and tries to have her willingly help him. She refuses though, leading him to just brainwash her again.

When the humans reach the bottom of the shrine, they find the Master possessed Miyuki. As Ahikaru and Renamon call out to Miyuki, she begins to regain control of her booy though it doesn't last long as Master's power is too strong. Master summons a group of 3rd Class Kenzoku and has them fuse with Miyuki's body to create a Miyuki (Kenzoku). Now with a powerful body, Master uses this new form to fight the humans. Just as he was about to kill them all, Ahikaru is able to get through to Miyuki which puts a stop to the attacks with Miyuki realizing that he, not Renamon disguised as Haru, was her real brother. This doesn't last long though, as Master is able to regain control. Renamon, in his true form rather than as Haru, is also able to get through to Miyuki, with Ahikaru and Renamon's combined efforts snapping her out of the brainwashing. Master spawns a giant hand to try and get Miyuki away from them, with Akiharu fighting the hand itself to try and stop it. Just as it was about to kill Akiharu, Renamon dives in the way of the attack and takes the blow instead with him dying from his wounds. Miyuki's shock at seeing Renamon die allows Master to retake control. Akiharu, Takuma and the others are shocked with Agumon and Gabumon telling them not to give up. Takuma and Akiharu's desires to save Miyuki cause both of their partners emotions to become linked. As they realize they don't currently have the power to win, they end up fusing together into Omegamon which allows them to defeat and free Miyuki. Miyuki begs Renamon not die, though he dies with a smile on his face since he got to save Miyuki and tells her to live alongside the real Akiharu instead of the fake version he was pretending to be. Miyuki's tears merge with the scattered data of Renamon's remains, causing them to merge together into an egg. Happy that Renamon hadn't truly died, Miyuki, Haru, and Gabumon say they will wait for the day Renamon is able to hatch since Renamon had waited so long for Miyuki.

They tell Miyuki to open a gate to the Human World, though she tells them she can't do that since she can only do that in the Master's domain. This causes the group to realize they would have to defeat Master after all. Miyuki also explains they needed to defeat him anyway, since he'll destroy both worlds otherwise. Desiring to kill them all, Master summons the group to him though they end up split up. Takuma and Agumon reunite with Miyuki, Akiharu, and Gabumon though the group are attacked by a group of Kenzoku pretending to be Miyuki and Akiharu's shadows. Unlike previous times, Akiharu and Miyuki are able to snap out of the visions themselves, angering the Kenzoku and causing them to attack. Miyuki having been able to snap out of it on her own causes Renamon to hatch from his egg. Renamon, figuring that since Miyuki had the others, decides that he isn't needed any more though Miyuki lets him know this isn't the case and that she cares about him. This causes Renamon to warp evolve to Sakuyamon with him joining the battle alongside Agumon and Garurumon. They defeat the Kenzoku, and find their friends also confronted by fake Kenzoku versions of themselves. They watch as they snap out of the visions by themselves, then help them defeat the Kenzoku. After they are all defeated, Master appears before the humans. As they fight, Master summons a group of Kenzoku and then absorbs them with this fully healing him and making him even more powerful. Takuma counters by giving his friends pep talks, which fully heals them and makes them more powerful as well whilst Miyuki sings the song of the Minase Maiden to weaken Master, with this also opening the gate to the Human World. During the battle, Master is able to take over Miyuki again though everyone hears the voices of other humans and learn that someone had recorded a video of Agumon fighting Piedmon. So many humans having watched the video causes all of the partner Kemonogami to power up, and also weakens Master even more. They are finally able to defeat Master, with his death freeing all the souls of those who he absorbed so they could finally move on to the afterlife. Master dies, though like Renamon before he turns into an egg. Unlike Renamon, Master was able to communicate through his egg and laughs, stating he will never fade. He tells them that he still has to sacrifice children to save the World, though they tell him that if the World has to be saved by sacrificing children they would rather the world be destroyed.

This happens in the harmonious route.

When Kaito Shinonome leaves the group after Kenzoku are able to kill Miu, said events cause him to go off on a blood thirsty path of revenge wanting to kill not just all Kemonogami but his now former friends as well — blaming them all for her death. He ends up teaming up with Piedmon, having him fuse together with Dracmon to form Boltboutamon. Kaito has Boltboutamon attack the children, planning to kill them, followed by Miyuki, Master, and then both worlds. As they fights the others, Master watches from afar, with Kaito noticing this. This causes both him and Boltboutamon to chase after him — sparing the kids for now.

They chase after Master all the way to its hideout, the bottom floor of the shrine. Master summons many Kenzoku in an attempt to save himself but they are all slain by Boltboutamon. Kaito uses Boltboutamon's power to remove Master from Miyuki, having changed his mind about killing her, though since he still wanted revenge against her so beat her up until she was unconscious. Despite this slight act of mercy, he still plans to end both worlds since he considers them pointless due to the lake of Miu. He sends Boltboutamon to try and kill them again, though this time they are able to defeat him. After the battle, Aoi tells him to honor Miu's memory by protecting Jijimon and the others as that was what she was trying to do when she died. Kaito realizes that she was right and that had he destroyed both worlds, Jijimon and the others would've died which is something Miu didn't want to happen. The others invite him back to the group despite everything he had done, though after he accepts and returns to the group, Boltboutamon turns on Kaito and kidnaps Miyuki. As it was wanting to destroy the world that caused Boltboutamon's existence to happen, no longer desiring this caused Kaito's bond to Boltboutamon to end — which allowed Piedmon's mind to take over the fusion (as Dracmon's was the one controlling it until that very moment). Desiring to access Miyuki's power to open gates to the human world, Boltboutamon begins to absorb her to do so though the Professor and Kaito charge in and attack him in an attempt to stall him and allow Miyuki to escape. This fails though, as Boltboutamon simply absorbs all three of them, killing them all. This also causes Renamon and Garurumon to die as well, as they were the destined partners of Miyuki and the Professor. Now with the power to travel to the human world, Boltboutamon leaves planning to first kill Master and then go to the human world to destroy it.

He travels to Master's domain and attacks him, but ends up being defeated. The children arrive just as Boltboutamon loses, and see Master absorb Boltboutamon within himself which then gives Master the power to travel to the human world instead. This ended up being Master's final mistake however, as Boltboutamon absorbs Master from the inside and forces a fusion between them with this leading to the creation of Boltboutamon (Fusion).

This happens in the wrathful route.

After Aoi Shibuya sees Saki Kimishima die, her mental health takes a turn for the worst and she decides she doesn't want to see anyone ever die again and that everyone in the world should be friends and never fight again. This lead to her healing Piedmon, under a false assumption that he would be her friend as thanks. Piedmon proceeds to brutally attack both Aoi and Labramon, leaving them both on the verge of death. Aoi's desire to live causes Labramon to be absorbed into her, which then has Aoi become Plutomon. Plutomon then comes to the conclusion that she should fuse with every single being in existence, since if they're all one entity then no one can ever fight again. To be able to do this, she realizes she would need Master's power since he could absorb others and goes to him to try to but this plan into action and goes to the shrine to fight him.

When Plutomon attacks Master, he sends his Kenzoku to try and stop her. Plutomon absorbs them all though, making them all extinct. When the other children arrive at the shrine they see Master defeat Plutomon. As Plutomon begins to die from her wounds, she starts to apologize to the others for her actions though is absorbed by Master just as she started to. Though he absorbed her, this was part of Plutomon's plan since she knew the others would want to kill Master to avenge her death which Plutomon figured would allow her to absorb Master easier. This was proven to be the case, with Plutomon being able to absorb Master from the inside to create Plutomon (Fusion).

This happens in the truthful route.

Master sends the Kenzoku and his other minions out to kill the Four Sovereign Monsters to stop the last of their powers from weakening him though the children are able to defeat them. They then defeat the Four Sovereign Monsters themselves and convince them to give them their powers with the Four Sovereign Monsters giving them the power to evolve into them so they could use their powers to defeat Master.

When the group arrive at the shrine to defeat Master once and for all, Master sends multiple large groups of Kenzoku to attack them but are able to beat them all allowing them to get to Master. Haruchika's four ghost friends confront Master, telling him that a thousand years had passed in the human world and as such those he wishes to get revenge on had already died. Master didn't care though, and still wanted to destroy the world to get revenge. Miyuki begins to resist and tells him he's wrong, which infuriates the Master. He summons multiple Kenzoku and orders them to merge with her, though they are defeated before they can do so which allows the group to rescue Miyuki. Enraged at Miyuki's claims, he summons the entire group and demands to know what she meant and expresses jealousy and confusion that she doesn't hate her brother, Akiharu "Haru" Minase, for abandoning her for so many years like his own sister had as well. She tells him that she was never abandoned, as she was the one who sent Akiharu home, and also tells Haruchika that he wasn't abandoned either. Pissed off at her claims, he attacks the group alongside a group of Kenzoku though the children are able to defeat them with the help of Miyuki, who's Song of the Minase Maiden weakens Master. After being defeated, Master turns back into Fanglongmon though rather than regular it was instead Fanglongmon Ruin Mode. It tries to go through the portal that had opened as a result of Miyuki's song opening it though the group fighting him. As they fight, they all hear the voices of other humans and learn that someone had recorded a video of Agumon fighting Piedmon. So many humans having watched the video causes all of the partner Kemonogami to power up, and also weakens Fanglongmon Ruin Mode. As the battle continues, Yukiha possesses Miyuki and uses her to talk to Haruchika. She takes in some of the dark malice inside Fanglongmon Ruin Mode, which weakens it even further, with this finally allowing the group to defeat him. After his defeat, he reverts back to regular Fanglongmon. Yukiha states that every day after Haruchika was sacrificed she thought of him, and wanted to travel to alternate world as well but couldn't due to her responsibilities of the Minase clan. Upon being reunited with his sister, Haruchika regrets his actions and states that he will leave the world to them and will watch them as they do so, alongside Yukiha. They then leave, leaving the world in the hands of the humans. Master no longer being in charge of the alternate world causes both worlds to merge together once again.
