Lucemon Shadowlord Mode is a Demon God Digimon. Having the appearance of the dragon of Revelation, it is Lucemon's final form and the avatar of its evil.[5] As was told in the Revelation, it carries the Crowns of the Seven Deadly Sins upon its head, and it holds the orb of darkness, "Gehenna", which absorbs all attacks. All attacks are nullified before the Gehenna, and it is said that the world will perish when Lucemon takes this form. However, it is no more than Lucemon's shadow, and its true form, Lucemon Larva, operates it while hiding within the Gehenna.[6] Therefore, no matter how many times Shadowlord Mode is attacked, those attacks will not reach the true form, Lucemon Larva.[7]

Attacks

  • Tide of Despair[8] (Purgatorial Flame): Exhales a flame of destruction which purifies everything.
  • Nihilism Maelstrom[9] (Divine Atonement): Fires a light of annihilation from the seven Crowns.
  • Dimension Slasher: Attacks with sharp claws that can pierce dimensional walls.
  • Wrath of Darkness (Wrath of Satan): Uses the orb, Gehenna, to emit a ray of destruction.

Design[]

Lucemon Shadowlord Mode appears as a large, purple, winged dragon, taking inspiration from the dragon of Revelation in Abrahamic mythology. It has the Crown of the Seven Deadly Sins on its head, which is an array depicting the Crests of the Seven Great Demon Lords, and holds an orb of darkness within its golden claws. Compared to Lucemon and Lucemon Chaos Mode, this form represents the complete fall of Lucifer into Satan in Abrahamic mythology.

During Aruba Dokuson's duel with Ryutaro Williams, Aruba uses the effect of BT18-101: Lucemon: Satan Mode from his hand, allowing him to digivolve it on top of BT18-082: Lucemon: Chaos Mode for 6 memory. He activates its on digivolving effect, which allows him to take a BT18-086: Lucemon: Larva from the trash and place it in his empty Breeding Area and then destroy one of Ryutaro's Digimon or Tamers. He uses this effect to destroy EX8-016: Dinomon. Ryutaro activates the Fortitude effect of Dinomon, which allows it to revive itself for free provided it had digivolution sources under it. This activates Dinomon's On Play effect, allowing him to suspend a Digimon and then destroy the suspended Digimon on the field with the lowest DP. He uses the effect to target the now suspended Lucemon: Satan Mode but Aruba uses the effect of Lucemon: Larva which allows him to prevent a Lucemon: Satan Mode from being destroyed by moving Larva to the Battle Area. Aruba decides to pass and end his turn, with this activating Lucemon: Satan Mode's end of turn effect to trash Ryutaro's last remaining security card. On the final turn of the duel, a second Dinomon attacks Aruba's security and fights a copy of Lucemon: Satan Mode though it survives as its prior forms had used their effects to increase its DP to be 2000DP higher than Satan Mode's.
