Synopsis[]
As the Fusion Fighters meet the Monitamon of the Warrior Zone and their Monitamon Elder, who have been following their exploits through the Monitamon under Nene, they learn that Blastmon's general Musyamon has taken over most of the Warrior Zone. They visit a Monitamon training camp where they watch Monitamon more or less fail at training, and they learn that the Zone's princess has been taken hostage by Musyamon, who wants the Code Crown in exchange. Just then, a Shurimon arrives and tries to attack the Monitamon Elder, but is stopped by Sparrowmon and leaves in exchange for a bribe. After trickily getting everyone up a cliff, Jeremy falls off but is saved by a group of Etemons. They then head to the lair of Karatenmon who will only give up the Code Crown if someone can make him laugh. Everyone tries their best, from telling jokes to forming humorous DigiFuses, to no success. However, Nene, who has lightened up a bit more, joins Angie in a comedy sketch which successfully makes Karatenmon laugh. When he reveals the Code Crown, the Etemons snatch it, revealing themselves as spies under Musyamon. Mikey digifuses Ballistamon and Beastmon into BalliBeastmon to seduce the Etemons before hitting them with a surprise attack and finishing them with the Star Sword. Nene and Angie become friends and the Fusion Fighters regain the Code Crown to rescue the princess.

Other notes[]
Continuity errors
- The Monitamons and Sparrowmon all come out of Nene's Fusion Loader, but when they left the Dust Zone, they were all in Mikey's.
Digimon references
- Shurimon serves under Musyamon in the Bagra Army, while in Digimon Adventure 02, a Shurimon defeated a Musyamon in "A Chance Encounter".
- In the Japanese version, Jeremy says he sounds just like Blastmon. Both are voiced by Daisuke Kishio.
Real-world references
- The title is a play on the idiom laugh all the way to the bank.
- Shoutmon saying the phrase "No soup for you!" is a reference from the sitcom Seinfeld.
