This article is about the Digimon known as Kumamon in various English materials. For the Digimon known as Kumamon in Digimon World 3, Digimon World DS, and Digimon World Dawn and Dusk, see Bearmon. |
Kumamon is a Beastkin Digimon. It possesses power over Ice which bears the might of AncientMegatheriummon. It styles itself as holding rank as a member of a polar army's polar region defense force. Since it replies that the matter's top secret if you ask anything about it, the truth is unknown. It's thought to be largely something it dreamed up. However, its operation of the Launcher it carries (nicknamed Romeo) and its precision conduct in battle are genuine, and its survivalist knowledge also has a strong, truly reliable existence. Since it rarely acts of its own volition, it primarily operates in response to someone's requests or orders. It will have nothing to do if nobody is relying on it, and is likely to worry about its purpose in life and get completely depressed. The shots fired from its Launcher are special snowballs, so there are several varieties according to purpose.[8]
Attacks
- Frozen Tundra (ツララララ~ Tsurararara~?, lit. "Icicicicle~"): Takes the shape of an icicle and pounces at the opponent.
- Blizzard Blaster (Snow Bomber): Blindly fires supercooled snowballs from the Launcher.
- Crystal Breeze (カチカチコッチン Kachikachi Kocchin?, lit. "Frozen Tinkling"): Blows cold wind from its mouth to freeze its opponents.
- Kachikachi Hammer (カチカチハンマー? lit. "Frozen Hammer"): Freezes its opponent with its breath and then uppercuts them.
- V Jump Attack: Charges its enemy on its skis and attacks with them in a V shape.
Design[]
Kumamon is a small humanoid snow bear with green boxing-like head-gear that has a bear face on the forehead part; it wears green chest armor with a red-orange plate in the middle of its chest with the emblem of the Spirit of Ice on it, a rectangle shoulder guard was placed on its right arm while on its left was a metallic pauldron and finally a pair of green and red-orange snow-boots that also were able to change to skis. It has a green square rocket launcher, which is able to fire off snowballs called the "Romeo"; beyond its rocket launcher, it was able to either freeze things or turn itself into malleable ice.
