Kaminarimon is related to electricity, as befitting its name, with the Digimon World item associated with named the "Electo Ring" and its lightning-related abilities in Digimon Frontier Original Story: Things That Want To Be Told. It has made no visual appearance, but the original design submission for it was displayed in the January 1999 issue of V-Jump.

Kaminarimon is an imaginary Digimon that J.P. thinks up when trying to come up with strategies to win Zoe's heart. In this imagined scenario, he would bribe Kaminarimon with chocolate to attack Zoe and, while she is helpless, J.P. would swoop in, defeat Kaminarimon to save the day, and have Zoe fall in love with him. J.P. rejects this idea with the knowledge that, should this hypothetical Kaminarimon actually try to even fake-attack Zoe, she'd fight it herself and win. Get Izumi's Heart! The Ultimate Strategy!!
Digimon World[]
Kaminarimon is an unreleased Digimon who would have been digivolved into with the unused Electo Ring item. The Electo Ring is the only remnant of the Digimon to still exist, with Kaminarimon's name appearing in its description.
