Wormmon is Erika Mishima's Partner Digimon.

Appearance[]

Main article: Wormmon#Design

Description[]

Wormmon is a Digimon who strayed into cyberspace from the Digital World. Erika and the others came to its rescue while it was being attacked in Kowloon on the lowest level of the EDEN network after infuriating other Digimon with its bungling ways. It became attached to Erika after she treated its wounds, and has been her partner Digimon ever since. Although cowardly, it is filled with curiosity but often ends up causing trouble with its extreme clumsiness. Wormmon is Hudie's self proclaimed mascot.[2]

Attacks

  • Sticky Net (ネバネバネット Nebaneba Net?): Spits out the threads of a tough, adhesive net, completely restricting the opponent's movements.
    • Modified Sticky Net (ネバネバネット・改 Nebaneba Netto Kai?): A variation of Sticky Net modified with the smell of nattō.

Fiction[]

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory[]

After finding its way into the EDEN Cyberspace from the Digital World, Wormmon finds himself alone and wants to return to his home world immediately, albeit he doesn't remember how. He stumbles into another Digimon on his venture but he makes a mistake and agitates it instead with his Sticky Net. The Digimon chases Wormmon endlessly and corners him at Kowloon Level 1. His scream for help reaches the ears of Erika Mishima and Keisuke Amazawa, whom are perfectly at the same area, as the two rushes to the scene for his rescue. Thanks to them, Wormmon is safe and Erika's hacking skill completely treats his wound. Later on, Wormmon wants to follow them but Erika doesn't want a Digimon and only trusts her hacking skills. Albeit her refusal, she agrees for the little one to be her digimon until he finally finds a way to return to the Digital World.

At the start of their partnership, Wormmon becomes Erika's specimen as she is so curious to how he can speak human language. She even examines Wormmon's physique although the latter thought her approach as scary. His scream even reaches the Hudie's Net Cafe Area as it lead to some eerily stories about her room, and also herself. But in the end point, it was Wormmon screaming for his life because of Erika's examinations. Due to Erika's programming and embedding or configuring Wormmon's data, the latter could access her memories stored at the EDEN. Since then, Wormmon could be seen mimicking or impersonating Erika's attitudes, and sometimes spilling some beans out of her memories.

Hudiemon dl

Hudiemon is the fused Champion form of Wormmon, who fused with the remaining memory data of Erika Mishima.

When Keisuke Amasawa, Ryuji Mishima, Chitose Imai and Wormmon try to save Erika from being Eater Legion, she states it is too late and that she is fully assimilated with it and tells the boys to kill the eater. Suddenly Erika's memory banks appears as Erika, then fuses with Wormmon to create Hudiemon. Hudiemon then helps to kill Eater Legion and then Eater EDEN who also merges with some of Erika's memory bank data. When the World resets due to Aiba defeating Mother Eater, Hudiemon decides to stay as Hudiemon, as if she returns with Keisuke, with no Eden in the new universe - the car crash will kill her as well as her parents, rather than giving her an incurable disease. Rather than willingly being killed, she chooses to live in the Digital World and in the new universe, she no longer exists - with Ryuji as an only child.
