On the day of Hiro Amanokawa's Hazakura Private Academy entrance ceremony, Hokuto disappears mysteriously. Six months later, on the day Hiro is attacked by Clockmon, Hokuto appears to him as a hologram in the Pseudo Digital World, explaining he is in the Digital World. Hokuto tells Hiro about Digimon and the Digital World, and tells him Gammamon is his little brother from this day on. Hokuto also tells Hiro to wear the Digivice -V- and put a DIM Card on it, and ends the call. The Sewn-lip Man When Hiro and his team are in the Nagomi Resort, Hokuto sends them three new DIM Cards with hologram messages talking about his travels in the Digital World. Zashiki-warashi Hiro later sends him a letter Monster's Beauty Serum asking him what to do with Digimon too difficult to handle, which he replies he has no idea and wishes him luck. Killer Blade In his time in the Digital World, Hokuto directs some Digimon, including Espimon and Ryudamon, to look for Hiro if they ever needed help in the Human World. At some point, the Antylamon fix his sandal, and he tells them their ability to create anything would be very useful in the Human World. This leads to the Antylamon setting up a service with Jellymon to create objects on request, unintentionally damaging surrounding walls. Rust At some point, he tries Oleamon's food and comments it smells the same way a human does after spending days without taking a bath. Hiro sends another him another letter with unspecified content. Memory of Eternity With the help of some Digimon friends, Hokuto develops a program to improve the Digivice -V-'s sensors and sends Hiro and his team more DIM Cards with said program and a hologram message explaining how the Digivice synchronizes humans with their Digimon. Although the program doesn't immediately take effect, Gammamon's perserverance against AxeKnightmon causes all the Digivices -V- to transform into Digivice -VV-. Headless
On the night Hiro's team fights Dragomon, Hokuto and Terriermon Assistant arrive in the Human World through a gate and meet everyone. The Call Mummymon checks Hokuto's health and finds no problems. Hokuto and Terriermon inform the group and the Digimon living in the Human World about a mysterious infection, Gulus Realm Burst, that is spreading through the Digital World, causing Digimon to become more violent. The next day, Hokuto and Terriermon explain how to open a gate to the Digital World with the Digivice, and Kuzuhamon also helps with her magic. Hokuto and Terriermon try to jump in the gate after the others but they miss as Kuzuhamon runs out of power to keep it open. Hokuto finds Hiro's friends Kotaro Nomura and Riku Fukatsu eavesdropping on these events. Terriermon Assistant is Hokuto's assistant.
Terriermon and Hokuto arrive in the Human World shortly before all networked digital devices stop functioning. The Call Terriermon is disappointed by seeing all lights out. He and Hokuto inform the Digimon living in the Human World about a mysterious infection, Gulus Realm Burst, that is spreading through the Digital World, causing Digimon to become more violent. The next day, Hokuto and Terriermon explain how to open a gate to the Digital World with the Digivice, and Kuzuhamon also helps with her magic. Terriermon gives them the coordinates to the Compiler Forest, where they can search for the voice sending Digimon to the Human World. Hokuto and Terriermon try to jump in the gate after the others but they miss as Kuzuhamon runs out of power to keep it open.
