Kari and Gatomon are back at Petaldramon's forest where they find Digitama all over the place. However, evil Digimon who are filled with hatred for new life are also drawn to this forest.
Summary[]
Kari and T.K. head on Komondomon back to the forest created when Petaldramon sacrificed himself to stop Entmon. When they reunite with Muchomon and Puwamon, they find that the forest has become a haven for new Digi-Eggs to hatch in. However, noticing one that is not showing signs of hatching like the others, Kari wraps a spare bandanna around it to keep it warm. Soon enough, Tai and Agumon reunite with his little sister and Gatomon, but Gatomon senses something evil in the woods. When she goes to investigate thanks to her Holy Ring, they are attacked by Soulmon. Discovering that the Soulmon are responsible for the cold in the forest preventing the Digi-Eggs from hatching, Gatomon asks Tai, Agumon, Muchomon, and the Puwamon to round up the Digi-Eggs and place them on Komondomon for protection while she and Kari find the Soulmon's boss to stop them from further damage.
They soon are confronted by the Soulmon's leader, SkullBaluchimon, whose powers are able to destroy the forest. Angered by the damage it is causing, Kari and Gatomon confront the undead beast, and Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon to fight him, but her attacks seem unable to cause any damage to SkullBaluchimon, and the Soulmon move to protect their leader and restrain Angewomon for SkullBaluchimon to defeat. When they close in on the nest that contained the Digi-Egg Kari was caring for, with Kari and Angewomon badly injured from SkullBaluchimon's attacks, Kari's strong will to protect the Digi-Eggs cause the one she cared for to hatch, releasing a Nyokimon that still wore Kari's bandanna that she wrapped around its Digi-Egg earlier. This causes Kari to solve the mystery of her Crest of Light, granting her and Angewomon renewed strength, leading to Angewomon summoning an apparition of her alternate Mega form of Ophanimon to defeat SkullBaluchimon, momentarily revealing his uncorrupted form of Baluchimon before being regressed back into a Digi-Egg to be reborn, with the Soulmon also being defeated and purified and turned back into Digi-Eggs as well.
Despite the damage the forest sustained because of SkullBaluchimon and the Soulmon, it could now recover thanks to Kari and Gatomon being able to protect it as a gift to the late Petaldramon.

Th-The Digitama?! Um, as their name suggest, they're Digimon eggs. All Digimon are born from a Digitama, and it is said they return to it when they end their lives. |
