Gusokumon is a Crustacean Digimon. Gusokumon lurks at the bottom of the ocean, at a depth that light fails to reach. It is also known for being a long-lived Digimon, capable of long-term biological activity while consuming a minuscule amount of energy. Weak, injured Digimon that occasionally sink to the bottom of the ocean turn into its prey. It barely ever moves on its own accord. When facing a large number of enemies, it defends itself by firing countless Colony Torpedoes.[2]
Attacks
- Brunt Claw: The sharp claws on its forelimbs that it uses to fight back against intruders as they draw near.
- Colony Torpedo: Small fish-shaped biological weapons fired from its back. Despite having a slow underwater speed, their nature is similar to that of mines in that they trigger a huge explosion on contact.
Design[]
Gusokumon resembles a gigantic, lobster-like isopod, primarily coloured deep blue with red and black accents. Its legs are tipped with claws that closely resembles talons with its frontmost pair of legs being larger with serrated claws. It has what appears be to a metallic SCUBA mask on its face.

During the DigiDestined's travel through the ocean on Komondomon, an Ebidramon attacks them along with several Chikurimon. After Gatomon destroys the Chikurimon, Ebidramon digivolves into Gusokumon due to the dark lightning, causing Gatomon to falter in fear of becoming SkullKnightmon and AxeKnightmon again. After Gusokumon injures Gatomon, Greymon digivolves into MetalGreymon and battles the evil Ultimate. After finally overpowering Gusokumon, MetalGreymon destroys it with his Giga Storm. Gusokumon is obtainable by DNA digivolution. Tobiumon, Frigimon, Submarimon, Shellmon and Ankylomon can DNA digivolve to Gusokumon with a Vaccine or Free Attribute Champion Digimon. Gusokumon can digivolve to Regalecusmon and can DNA digivolve to Aegisdramon with a Vaccine or Free Attribute Ultimate Digimon and to AncientMermaidmon with a Data or Virus Attribute Ultimate Digimon.
