Fiction[]

Digimon Liberator[]

At some point whilst playing the Digimon Liberator Violet "Vi" Inboots came across the wild Digimon Ghostmon and it became her partner Digimon.

When Violet and Ghostmon go to Jewel so Violet can report having found new Digimon to the GMs, they end up coming across Arisa Kinosaki and Shoto Kazama. Ghostmon's presence surprises Arisa, so Violet introduces him. Violet starts talking about Ghostmon when Arisa mentions bugged Digimon, so Shoto tries to end the conversation early. Shrinking Violet (Part 1)

The next day, Violet blackmails Arisa into duelling her since she had learned Pteromon and Shoemon were new Digimon and as such she would tell the GMs about them. If she won, Shoemon would join Ghostmon as her new partner Digimon. Ghostmon watches as Arisa wins the duel. After the duel, Violet and Ghostmon run away. Ghostmon fusses over Violent and suggests she be friendly with Arisa, but Violet goes against this as she wants to focus on being rivals. Fable Waltz (Part 1) Fable Waltz (Part 2)

After maintenance, Ghostmon and Violet go to the beach in Lapis Marine. Vortex Resonance (Part 1)

When a large group of Imperialdramon attack Jewel, the debug team try to track down Sam the Clown since he was the one controlling the army. Arisa eventually figures they were unable to find it since the Digimon possessing it must've digivolved into Imperiadramon and as such there was no NPC for them to find. After Arisa tells everyone else about this, Violet suggests for the duo to split up since they could be more efficient to do so. As Arisa leaves, Violet summons Ghostmon and the two of them prepare to fight against the BlackImperialdramon. RAID ON THE WORLD (Part 2)

Violet/Ghostmon defeat four BlackImperialdramon Dragon Mode in duels, then duel against Figther Mode. OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 1) Whilst in the middle of one of their turns, Sam the Clown and the Wormmon possessing it manifest from the floor. It says "see you later" over and over, with Violet figuring it was possessed by said Wormmon and so she had to set it free. She continues to duel, and just as it seemed like she was going to win Wormmon interrupts Violet, and as she looks on confused — Sam holds up two Imperialdramon cards, and changes them to different cards. It uses these new cards to turn the duel around and win. Shoto and Pteromon suddenly arrive, with Shoto using his Unique Emblem to break into the duel field. He activates debugging mode — forcing Sam to duel him. OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 2) Ghostmon and the others watch Shoto defeat Sam — despite it constantly cheating by changing his cards in his hand to different cards, Shoto winding up using the power as well to change his cards and win. This destroyed Sam/Wormmon/Figther Mode — saving LACUNA. SHOW ME YOUR BRAVE HEART (Part 1) SHOW ME YOUR BRAVE HEART (Part 2)

Two weeks after the Imperialdramon rampage, Shoto logs on (having not been allowed to do so for two weeks) and asks the girls/their partners if they know where Owen is. They say they don't know where he is, to Shoto's disappointment. Re:START (Part 1) Shoto eventually finds Owen in the Amber Remains, with the girls/their partners finding them just after Owen had defeated Shoto. Re:START (Part 2)

Shortly afterwards, Violet, Arisa, and Close travel through the Amber Remains — the three of them playing through the game's story together. When the girls stop for a break for a chat, their partners do the same and talk amongst themselves. DEBUG.7-1 Forever. Always. Together.

A while later, the debug team watches as a large amount of Maquinamon burst out of the destroyed remains of E.G.G., with them landing all over LACUNA. Regular players, unaware of what they were, were excited — whilst the debug team felt despair upon seeing them. Unchained appears on a monitor, and asks everyone if they want to "race towards the ending". The regular players assume this is referring to the announced but unknown dated quest that leads into the end of Liberator's main storyline, and so get even more hyped up. As Unchained gives more information, they use the fake name Chained — pretending to be the NPC of the same name from the game's main storyline. Unchained informs the players that the previously announced quest was about to begin, and that Liberator was about to come to its end.

Unchained tells the group that the many Digimon they saw earlier were named Maquinamon, that they had spread all over LACUNA, and that some of them had even digivolved. They explain that when a Maquinamon digivolves, it parasites an NPC and that parasited NPC will duel players. By defeating an NPC, a player will earn a point — and to progress to the next stage of an event, a player must obtain a certain amount of points. Unchained also tell them that if a parasited NPC defeats a player, the digivolved Maquniamon will switch from parasiting the NPC and will instead parasite the player who just lost. Players have no choice but to take part in the event as they cannot log out, and the NPC will be hunting for players. Once a certain amount of players progress to the next round, it will begin — with the players having to duel against a character supposedly created for the event — "Xeno", who is actually Zenith (this fact unknown to anyone but Unchained) with the goal being to prove that the outsiders (players) are worthy of ruling LACUNA. The debug team then travel to the Sanctuary, where Yuuki and Huckmon were, with this being the new base of operations for the debug team. Huckmon tells everyone that there was no "LACUNA poison" there, and that Digimon were able to come and go as they please. It hadn't wanted to let humans in at first, but allowed them in thanks to its recent friendship with Yuuki. The other debuggers were also there. Owen asks Yao if the "event" had been organized by the admins, with Yao confirming that they had nothing to do with it. She explains that Unchained took control of E.G.G and had forcefully gained control of high security Digimon, and has no idea why. As everyone wonders what Unchained was up to, Close says she knows why. PRELUDE OF DESTRUCTION (Part 1)

Close thanks back to the BlackImperialdramon rampage, and figures that Unchained was likely the one behind it. Since she was Unchained's sister, she knew things no one else did — such as how Unchained one day planned to over take E.G.G. so that they could "liberate" all the Digimon in the Garden. Shoemon points out how awful this would be, since the Digimon in the Garden would die if they had to return to LACUNA. Close counters that, by saying that that's why there's so many Maquinamon — they could handle harsh conditions like LACUNA and survive, much like Pteromon and the others. She tells them that Unchained had been rewriting Digimon, turning them into Maquinamon — Owen asking if that meant the fifty Maquinamon were originally Digimon from the Garden. Close, though not sure, says it was the only explanation that made sense. Violet asks why she would do this, with Close saying that shortly after her birth, Unchained told her that they planned to turn LACUNA into an ark so that they can reach the "true Digital World" — and that Close had been born to be the cornerstone of this plan. Shocked at hearing how Unchained had been planning this for over a year, the debug team ask why she hadn't brought it up until now — though Close just apologizes and says she was doing as she was told by her sibling. Close says she didn't know just how big a deal Unchained's plan was until now — but as she was aware now, she no longer wanted to Unchained's puppet. She declares she will stop Unchained's plan, with Sunarizamon apologizing as well and asking the debug team to help Close. Though some of them are still angry at Close having hidden it from them, the debug team agree to help.

Yao explains that they recently learned that when a regular player is "deleted" by a rogue NPC or Digimon, they're not actually deleted — they're transferred to Cross Connectia — debuggers able to avoid this thanks to their Unique Emblem. Arisa worries that the NPC would cheat and overwrite cards like Sam the Clown had, Yao saying she thinks that shouldn't happen as she had worked hard on updating the game to stop that ability. Just in case though, she instructs the debug team to work in pairs — and that if their partner was about to lose, the other should intervene. Arisa was still worried, since Unchained was someone who had been able to take over LACUNA, though Owen points out that Unchained would've destroyed the world by now if that was their goal. Owen figures the Imperialdramon weren't actually intended to destroy the world, and that Uhchained just wants to have controlling LACUNA be the goal for completing Digimon Liberator. Shoto brings up how the log out feature had been removed, though Yao says she and some other players have the ability to log out — the only ones who don't are the ones using T.A.L.E's test models, all of which are members of the debug team. This meant Unchained had declared war on the debug team. As Arisa says she's scared, Pteromon tells her — and everyone else — not to be, since the debug team was filled with strong players. Shoto and Violet say the'll back Arisa up, this enough to calm her down.

Yao wonders about "Xeno" the "NPC" who was with Unchained, thinking about how it looked like Zenith. As she wonders what happened to Zenith, Close starts to feel pain. When Shoto asks if she's okay, she says Unchained is waiting for her and that she needs to hurry up and go to Unchained. As Close runs away, Arisa and Violet chase after her. Shoto worries over the three of them, though Owen says they'll be fine. Yao then declares the mission to stop Unchained and Xeno had started. PRELUDE OF DESTRUCTION (Part 2)

When they catch up to Close, they find she was being attacked by a large group of NPC, though Close turns down all of their duel requests. Sunarizamon instead responds for her, digivolving to Proganomon to attack them so that the group can get to Close. Mirai Kinosaki shows up just as Arisa was going to challenge Close, and flirts with Violet — shocking everyone. Mirai gives her cards to Arisa and tells her to challenge Close, with Arisa telling Violet and Ghostmon to duel Close if she loses. STAND BY ME (Part 1)

Necromon b

Necromon is one of Ghostmon's Mega form[3], and is Lv.6.

During Violet "Vi" Inboots's duel with BlackImperialdramon, Ghostmon possesses the BT20-063: Ghostmon in her Breeding Area, which Violet quickly digivolves to BT20-067: Soulmon. She digivolves Soulmon to BT20-072: Phantomon, then Phantomon into BT20-079: Necromon. Its When Digivolving effect deletes EX3-073: Imperialdramon Fighter Mode. At the end of her turn, she uses Necromon's Execute effect — allowing it to attack, at the cost of deleting itself once the battle ends. Necromon attacks, and as it has the Security+1 effect, it is allowed to destroy two security shields — EX3-055: Wormmon and P-110: Shadramon. Necromon then deletes itself, with it using its On Deletion effect to revive Phantomon. Violet digivolves Phantomon into another Necromon, which Ghostmon possess as well, its When Digivolving effect destroying another Wormmon. OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 1) On her next turn, she has Necromon attack Sam the Clown directly (who had taken over the duel in an earlier turn), with it destroying EX3-004: Veemon. Its Security+1 effect has it reveal a second security, which winds up getting its Soulmon ally deleted as it was ST6-15: Death Claw. Necromon can then only watch as Sam cheats — changing the cards in his hand into other cards, the new cards allowing him to win. OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 2)
