Gaossmon is a Reptile Digimon. A tiny Digimon that is strong, at least in its competitive spirit, and in any case it barks well. It is also quick to flee, and extremely swift. Although it is almost impossible to track it after it runs into the bushes, you can easily find its location because it will soon begin to bark. Since it specializes in running on land, it is totally incapable of swimming, as it dreads water. In fact, it can't even cross a 10 cm deep brook, and sometimes, you can run across a Gaossmon that has nearly drowned and passed out in a puddle of water.[2]

Gaossmon acts as the leader of a faction of Digimon fighting over a water source, ordering around his sworn brother Tyrannomon despite Tyrannomon having surpassed him as a Champion level Digimon. When the conflict first began, Gaossmon has Tyrannomon injure Nohemon's left arm, keeping him from using his bow. When Joe Kido and Gomamon arrive looking for water, Gaossmon captures Joe to punish him, but Tai Kamiya and Noehmon rescue Joe and lead Gaossmon's forces to the water fountain where a brawl breaks out between the two factions. Gaossmon and Tyrannomon battle with Greymon before Nohemon, with Tai's help, disables Tyrannomon. Gaossmon's launches his own attack on Greymon, but Greymon blocks him with his horn and smacks Gaossmon into Atamadekachimon's mouth with his tail, ending the battle.
After the battle, Tai and Agumon fish Gaossmon and Minidekachimon out of Atamadekachimon's mouth as the two factions finally reach peace. The Villains of the Wastelands
Following the destruction of Abbadomon, Gaossmon and Minidekachimon celebrate together. The End of the Adventure
