Gallantmon X is a Royal Knights, and one of Shinji's Partners.

Gallantmon X, Omnimon X, Dorumon, Yūji Musha, Kōta Doumoto, and Ryudamon all disappeared for a long time following the defeat of Dexmon, and even their fellow Royal Knights and King Drasil had no clue as to the whereabouts of the missing Royal Knights. The group had been travelling all over the Digital World to try and help stop the discrimination against X-Antibody Digimon, with some of the Digimon they befriended being Hououmon X, Justimon X, Seasarmon X, and the Celestial Digimon.

During the battles between the Royal Knights and Seven Great Demon Lords the group are able to sense that the Demon Lords had been causing trouble, so they decide to join the battle. Following the defeats of Jesmon X and Gankoomon at the hands of Lucemon X, Beelzemon X, Ophanimon Falldown Mode X, Cherubimon (Evil) X, and a large army of evil Digimon, Gallantmon X suddenly arrives and kills some of the evil Digimon army attacking Gankoomon and Jesmon. Seeing that Gankoomon had been mortally wounded and was on the brink of death, Gallantmon and Jesmon give Gankoomon the X-Antibody to Gankoomon, causing Gankoomon to X evolve to Gankoomon X, which also heals all of Gankoomon's wounds. Lucemon would then leave the battlefield upon seeing Gallantmon X, Jesmon X, and Gankoomon X.

Eventually, the Royal Knights are able to defeat the Demon Lords, after which the Royal Knights reconvene together, though after sensing trouble they are attacked by seven Diaboromon X, each wielding a member of the Demon Lords as a sword, as Lucemon's final plan had been to have the Diaboromon absorb them all. During the battle against the seven Diaboromon, the Diaboromon all fuse together into Ogudomon X. Whilst fighting, Alphamon Ouryuken, Omnimon X, and Gallantmon X fail in a suicidal attack against Ogudomon X. Digimon Chronicle X
