FanBeemon is an Insectoid Digimon and a carrier of the X Antibody. It belongs to the mysterious "aerial, covert honey base, Royal Base". Although its daily life differs from that of other Insectoid Digimon, it is a strong, dedicated worker due to its personality being so cheerful. It always gets along with Plant Digimon like Palmon or Lillymon. Because the base is usually under construction, it has the duty of carrying home data left on fields of flowers or vegetation, little by little, to use as raw materials, causing it to be classified as a Virus-species. Also, because the base is defended by powerful Digimon, making it impossible to approach, the goal of that construction is a mystery at present. It's wisest to just run away when it uses its "88 Call".[3]

Attacks

  • Gear Sting[4] (Gear Stinger): Rapid-fires tiny, serrated stingers.
  • Hachi Hachi Call (88 Call)[5]: Reddens its antennae and contacts its allies, summoning a huge crowd of its comrades.

Digimon ReArise

A group of Fanbeemon are some of the Digimon that a group of Mamemon had forced to leave their homes in the forest so that the Mamemon could live there instead. They went into hiding, deeper in the forest, alongside a group of other Digimon that had also been forced to move out by the Mamemon — a place that the Mamemon didn't know existed. After the Gazimon that lived with them agreed with the Protagonist, Herissmon, Michi Shinjo and Salamon for them to help deal with the Mamemon they bring the group to their hideout where they meet all the local Digimon — however just as they arrive the Mamemon suddenly attack everyone in the hideout, having just located them. Angewomon and Rasenmon fight the Mamemon and as the duo start to get tired, BaoHuckmon and Mon arrive and BaoHuckmon defeats the remaining Mamemon, forcing them to flee. After Mon explains that the Mamemon had stolen the local Digimon's homes because the Spiral had chased them out of their homes and that chaos like this was common after the Spiral had shown up to the Digital World, the Mamemon return with their boss, a Boltmon. BaoHuckmon digivolves to SaviorHuckmon and defeats the Boltmon after it states that they were simply fighting to see who should be the leader of the forest. As the losers the Boltmon and Mamemon agree to stop forcing their way of lives onto the other Digimon and Mon and SaviorHuckmon state they would get their homes back for them. The local Digimon then invite Boltmon and the Mamemon to live with them until the Tamers were able to get their home back for them. Stranded in the Digital World?!

Fanbeemon digivolves from Motimon and can digivolve to Waspmon.

  4. This attack retains its original name of "Gear Stinger" in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory.
  5. This name is a pun, as "88", pronounced here as "Hachihachi" (ハチハチ?), is a homophone for "Bees" (蜂々 Hachihachi?), but is also a reference to the figure-eight waggle dance that honey bees use to communicate directions to their brethren.
