The Roar of the Dramon is a fanon live-action film idea created by CAJH. It is the spin-off to Digimon: War for Evolution and the sixth installment of the fanfictional film series idea. The story of the film is inspired by several elements from 1999 Adventure and 2020 Adventure: continuities as well as few recurring elements from Digimon mythologies. The story of the film is set simultaneously with the third act of War for Evolution but happens in a longer period due to different flow of time.

The initial story idea of The Roar of the Dramon (under the title Digimon: Dramon’s Roar) was released to the Digimon Wiki on September 2021. But was later removed to be reworked for a better one. The ”Digimon 2021 Fan Fiction Film Series Story Idea Group” is also actively recruiting other people to suggest their own ideas or story changes for a potential full script.

Development

After deciding that War for Evolution would separate Dyson Motomiya, Ken Ellsworth from others, and later Tyler Whitaker and Hikari Yagami, CAJH was inspired to make a spin-off film that would explain where the four lost Chosen Ones were before they returned. The spin-off was also planned to explain how the evolutions of Imperialdramon, Goddramon and Holydramon are unlocked and introduce few more familiar Dramon-types from the Digimon mythology. Veedramon and Ryo Akiyama was also decided to be introduced because Veedramon and Cyberdramon were Dramon-types and there was a plan to make Veedramon into a new ally for the Chosen Ones, and leaves possibilities for RYo returning in the future as well.

Trivia

• The way Goddramon, and Holydramon destroy Megidramon is inspired by how Angewomon destroyed SkullKnightmon and the Soulmon in Digimon Adventure:.
• The idea of the Blue Coredramon and the Green Coredramon being mere halves of the Turqoise Coredramon (who were invented just for this film) was inspired by Examon being a fusion of Breakdramon and Slayerdramon in the real-life media.

Follow-up

The seventh installment, a follow-up titled Digimon: Ultimate Holy Battle, will focus on the Chosen Ones taking on the final battle against Millenniummon.
