Andromon Custos Mode is a Cyborg Digimon. Andromon, the prototype for Cyborg Digimon, has been upgraded in order to bring out more of its combat potential. After surviving numerous battles, it has manifested a gauntlet of Black Digizoid on its left arm, allowing it to manifest dormant Warrior data in its programming. This gauntlet is able to generate a shield of varying sizes known as "Custos", increasing its defensive capabilities. It now excels at both close and long range combat, and fights enemies like a valorous knight, never giving up.

Attacks

  • Grand Defender: Summons the "Custos" as a greatshield, creating a barrier to deflect oncoming attacks.
  • Guardian Break: Manifests the "Custos" as a tower shield and rushes the enemy, using the shield like a battering ram.
  • Cyber Strike: uses the blade form of its right arm module along with the "Custos" to unleash a series of powerful slashes.
  • Lightning Blade (Spiral Sword): Fires a blade of energy from its arm module.
  • Gatling Attack (Gatling Missile): Fires two smart homing missiles from its chest, chasing enemies, which also contain machine guns.
  • Gatling Missile Rensha Mode (ガトリングミサイル連射モード? lit. "Gatling Missile Rapid-fire Mode"): A rapid-fire version of "Gatling Missile".

Design[]

Andromon Custos Mode is a mechanical Digimon with a humanoid body structure. Roughly 3/4 of its body is covered in chrome armor. Its right leg has little to no armor at all, leaving its pink wiring exposed. It wears a skull-like helmet that conceals its brain. Its right arm module is covered in Black Digizoid, and can manifest the Custos, a shield that can change its size and shape to whatever the user needs at the moment.

Etymologies[]

Andromon: Custos Mode (アンドロモン:クストスモード)

Official romanization given by the Digimon Reference Book and used in the franchise. Some American English media leave out the colon[1] whilst some Japanese media leave out both "Custos Mode" and the colon.[2]
