Digimon Awakening is a continuation of Digimon Fates and a Japanese anime of Digimon. It will be released in June 13, 2024, as part of the 25th anniversary of Digimon adventure. Taking place roughly 11 years after the events of Digimon Fates, the story focuses of Jesse and the new DigiDestined.

Jesse Akayama - 5th Grade - The leader of the new DigiDestined and the adoptive son of Akira Akayama. He lives in Tokyo til one day he wants to go on adventure and go to the Digital World. He is close friends with Kirby Fuji, Petra Hamada and Satoshi Hamada. He is the biological brother of Luigi and Gloria. At the end of the series after Lucemon's defeat, he and his friends Celebrated in Bokuma and lived happily ever after, for now. He is the partner of Hackmon and the holder of the Crest of Miracles.
Hackmon - Jesse's partner Digimon who is the chosen one and wants to go on an adventure. when Palmon and Gomamon told him and Jesse that Gloria were kidnapped by a mysterious force, they save the kidnapped kids with a pilot, Lukas. He trains under Gankoomon before Palmon and Gomamon informed him. he is terribly scared at first but his adventures made him braver. he Digivolves from PetiHackmon and DemiHackmon and can Digivolve to BaoHackmon, SaviorHackmon and Jesmon.
Lukas Matayoshi - 5th Grade - The cool pilot of the DigiDestined. He is very proud and arrogant at first, but learned that being good is good during his adventure to save the digital world. he was frozen in carbonite in episode 13 and was unfrozen in episode 15. He is the partner of Zubamon and the holder of the Crest of Destiny.
Zubamon - Lukas's Partner Digimon who is Like Lukas at first. but learns that bullying is not fun towards his adventures to save the digital Universe. he was turned into Sakuttomon and lost his powers when his partner was frozen in carbonite in episode 13 and got it back when his partner was unfrozen in episode 15. he Digivolves from Sakumon and Sakuttomon and can digivolve into ZubaEagermon, Duramon and Durandamon.
Kirby Fuji - 3rd Grade - Jesse Akayama's childhood friend who attends the same class as him. He Is Partnered with FanBeemon.
FanBeemon - Kirby's Partner who is Best friends with Hackmon. he Digivolves from Pupumon and Puroromon and can digivolve Waspmon, CannonBeemon and TigerVespamon.
Petra Hamada - 5th Grade - The twin sister of Satoshi Hamada. She is Partnered with Tapirmon.
Tapirmon - Petra's Partner who is the Brains. he digivolves from Pafumon and Kyaromon and can digivolve into Boarmon. he fuses into Mammothmon with grizzlymon and Digivolves into Baihumon
Satoshi Hamada - 5th Grade - The twin brother of Petra Hamada. He is Partnered with Bearmon.
Bearmon - Satoshi's Partner who is the brawn. he Digivolves from Botamon and Wanyamon and can digivolve into Grizzlymon. he fuses into mammothmon with boarmon and Digivolves into Baihumon
Luigi Kourikawa - 5th Grade - Triplet Brother of Jesse and Gloria. He is Partnered with Coronamon.
Coronamon - Luigi's Partner who is the Brave one. he Digivolves from Poyomon and Sunmon and can digivolve to Firamon, Flaremon and Apollomon.
Gloria Kourikawa - 5th Grade - Triplet Sister of Jesse and Luigi. She is Partnered with Lunamon.
Lunamon - Gloria's Partner who is the Sweet one. she Digivolves from YukimiBotamon and Moonmon and can Digivolve to Lekismon, Crescemon and Dianamon.
Ayden Takahashi - 5th Grade - 2nd Best Friend of Lukas who first appeared in episode 13. he is the partner of Hagurumon.
Hagurumon - Ayden's Partner who wears a Snimon hat made of a Snimon which he killed. He Digivolves from MetalKoromon and Kapurimon and can Digivolve to Guardromon and Andromon. he fuses to HiAndromon with Meteormon.
Maya Takahashi - 3rd Grade - Little sister of Ayden who first appeared in episode 13. She is the partner of Gotsumon.
Gotsumon - Maya's Partner who wears a Kuwagamon hat made of a Kuwagamon which he killed. He Digivolves from Zurumon and Pagumon and can digivolve into Icemon and Meteormon. he Fuses to HiAndromon with Andromon
Allies[]
Akira Akayama - He was one of the previous DigiDestined and the adoptive father of Jesse. Akayama who taught him that his father and mother were once DigiDestined. He, Hiroshi, Jesse and the others go on an adventure to stop Lord Kelor and save the Digital World. He was killed by Lord Kelor and Barbamon. He is the Partner of Agumon and the holder of the Crest of Courage.
Hiroshi Aozora - He was one of the previous DigiDestined who acts as a mentor to Jesse, who is his half-nephew. He is the partner of Gabumon and the holder of the Crest of Friendship. He was killed by Lord Kelor and Barbamon.
Omnimon - The fusion of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. He was Killed to Lord Kelor and Barbamon
Jilynn Kwon - She was one of the Digidestined and the Adoptive Mother of Luigi. she Got killed by Lord Kelor in the first episode because she won't tell where the Base is.
Biyomon - the Partner of Jilynn who got Killed by Tsukaimon in the first episode because she won't tell where the base is.
Yoshio Mitsuke - He was one of the DigiDestined. He was killed by Kouda 2.0 because he refused to tell the location of the portal to the Digital World.
Tentomon - The partner of Yoshio who got killed by Kouda 2.0 because he refused to tell the location of the portal to the Digital World.
Gankoomon - Hackmon's mentor before Jesse. A strict but caring mentor, he trains Hackmon to become the next Royal Knight. He entrusts Jesse to partner with Hackmon. He was eventually killed by the Numemon army.
Chief Triceramon - Leader of the Penguinmon Army he was killed by another numemon attack

Frogmon- a Digimon who used to be a bounty hunter spy. he helped the digidestined escape from Juraseaton.
Penguinmon Army - an Army of Penguinmon.
Pteramon - Luka's Riding Digimon
Palmon - a Digimon who used to be Shiki's Partner who helps Jesse and Hackmon on their journey after the new Digidestined save her and gomamon. She can digivolve from Yuramon and Tanemon and her digivolutions are Togemon, Lillymon and Rosemon.
Gomamon - a Digimon who used to be Reiji's Partner who helps Jesse and Hackmon on their Journey after the new Digidestined save him and palmon. His digivolutions include Pichimon, Bukamon, Ikkakumon, Zudomon and Vikemon.
Tuskmon - a Digimon who used to be one of bagramon's minions. He was on the watch with other tuskmon until the new Digidestined came to save palmon and gomamon and escape kelor castle
Dorumon - one of the last season's Digimon
Jesmon (Dragon god mode) - a Fusion of Jesmon, Duramdamon, TigerVespmon, Baihumon, Apollomon, Dianamon, Rosemon, Vikemon and HiAndromon. he Finished off Lucemon Shadowlord mode once and for all, Before Reverting Back to their Partner's In-training forms.
Kidnapped children - those children are slaves to lucemon and bagramon. Their partners are koromon, tsunomon, yokomon, motimon, tanemon, bukamon, tokomon, nyaromon, demiveemon, poromon, upamon and minomon. all must be naked and obey lucemon and bagramon. (Also they're all named Lemmy)
Antagonists[]
Lord Kelor/Tomomi Kourikawa - A Digidestined who was turned into a villian by Kouda in the Last Season. it is revealed that he is Jesse's Father in Episode 11. In episode 21, he and Tsukaimon felt deep remorse for their actions 11 years ago and became good again and they helped Jesse and Hackmon defeat Bagramon once and for all. When he realized that it was Kouda and Lucemon who manipulated him into becoming evil, he developed a deep grudge against them for turning him against his friends. At the Climax of the Finale he and Patamon sacrificed themselves to kill Lucemon in his Chaos Mode but their corpse was absorbed by dark energy released from Lucemon's body to become Lucemon ShadowLord Mode. and He was Cremated at before the celebration of the end of finale. It is later revealed that when Kouda bullied him, Lucemon was able to reach Tomomi's negative feelings and corrupt him and turn him into Lord Kelor.
Tsukaimon - Lord Kelor's Partner who became Patamon again after Tomomi felt remorse for his actions 11 years ago. He and Tomomi Sacrificed themselves to Kill Lucemon in his Chaos Mode but their corpse was absorbed by dark energy released from Lucemon's body to become Lucemon ShadowLord Mode.
Chaosmon - The previous DigiDestined's worst enemy. He was revived by Bagramon when Lord Kelor was about to turn good in order to stop him from reforming himself, but was killed by Lucemon Chaos Mode to gain more power.
Kouda Hikarigaoka/Kouda 2.0 - Akira's former best friend turned worst enemy and Lord Kelor's supervisor. He betrayed the main team 11 years ago by manipulating Tomomi into turning against them. He was rebuilt by Lucemon at the end of the Season Finale. When Jesse found out that he was the one who betrayed the main team and bullied and manipulated Tomomi 11 years ago, he developed a deep hatred towards the traitor and wished that he would die a brutal death and never be reborn. He would later be killed by Lucemon Chaos Mode to gain more power.
Kimeramon - leader of the Bounty hunter spies who first appeared in Pteramon Flight. he was Eaten alive by WaruSeadramon after being Defeated in episode 18.

Maildramon - one of the bounty hunter spies
Leviamon - A scary crocodile like monster who was controlled by Emperor Bagramon as a last resort weapon. Fortunaly he was killed by the Kelor castle explosion in Army Attack.
Omnimon Zwart - Emperor Bagramon's creation after the reformation of Tomomi and Tsukaimon. Angered by Tomomi and Tsukaimon turning good again, Bagramon used the data of the killed Omnimon (as well as Akira's and Hiroshi's bodies converted to data) to create Omnimon Zwart to get revenge on Jesse and Tomomi. He somehow gained a personality of his own and turned against his creator, and fights for his own goals. He later died to protect Jesse and the other from Lucemon Chaos Mode's Ultimate Sacrifice.
Numemon Army - Lord Kelor's Army later Lucemon's.
Emperor Bagramon - Chaosmon, Kouda 2.0 and Lord Kelor's boss and later a servant of Lucemon. He was defeated by Jesse with the help of Tomomi and Tsukaimon, but was killed and betrayed by Lucemon to become Lucemon Chaos Mode.
Mervamon and Marsmon - Bagramon's henchmen (later Lucemon's) who monitor the new DigiDestined and ensure Lord Kelor stays corrupted, as well as assisting him in creating Omnimon Zwart. They were both betrayed and killed by Lucemon Chaos Mode to "test" his newfound power.

WaruSeadramon - a monster who ate up the Digidestiend in Pteramon Flight.
Lucemon - The true main antagonist of the series and Bagramon's superior, as well as the one behind Tomomi's corruption 11 years ago. Once a benevolent ruler of the Digital World, but was banished after trying to abuse his power. It is revealed that everyone Tomomi and Patamon had killed 11 years ago had been converted into data into Lucemon's body, powering him up while he was imprisoned. When he first appears, he pretends to be an innocent angel who pretends to befriend Jesse and the others, but he shows his true nature after Tomomi and Tsukaimon has been reformed, but he only shows his true self to Jesse and the others after Bagramon's defeat by killing him to become Lucemon Chaos Mode. His Chaos Mode was killed by Tomomi and Patamon in the climax of the Finale, but was later revived as Lucemon ShadowLord Mode when the dark energy from Tomomi's attack on Lucemon Chaos Mode's chest was released and absorbed Tomomi and Patamon's corpse along with it, but was ultimately killed by Jesse, the new Digidestined and Jesmon (Dragon God mode). The Gehenna he carries as Lucemon ShadowLord mode contains of the souls of everyone that died in the series, including Tomomi and Patamon themselves.

Sequel[]
A sequel called Digimon Awakening: Journeys to the Future, which is the final season of the Digimon Fates trilogy, takes place 15 years after Lucemon's defeat, where a new threat arises again to both the Real World and the Digital World. a Cartoon of shorts called Digimon Shorts takes place after Fates and Before Awakening. it focuses on Group 1 (heroric Partner Digimon from Fates and Awakening(except Zubamon and Pteramon)) , and Group 2 (Villians). they have adventures in digital world within each group.
