Digimon Super Rumble (디지몬 슈퍼럼블 Dijimon Syupeo Leombeul?) is an MMORPG developed and published by MOVEGAMES. It is their third Digimon MMORPG, after Digimon Battle and Digimon Masters.[1] It released on November 25, 2021.[2] English language support was added on July 31, 2025.[3]

Development[]

Digimon Super Rumble was announced on June 3, 2021. It uses Unreal Engine 4.[1]

Plot[]

Digimon Super Rumble is a variant of the Digimon Adventure story, and takes place in a version of its Digital World.[1] Unlike Digimon Masters, where the player chooses between a few preexisting characters from the anime as their avatar, Super Rumble allows the player to create their own unique character.

The player starts at The Village of Beginnings as a new arrival to the Digital World, where more and more humans have been appearing. Angemon guides them through their first steps as a new Tamer and assigns them a starter Digimon through a short personality test.

Gameplay[]

Digimon Super Rumble is an open-world MMORPG that features main quests and sub quests, dungeons, and a real-time turn-based battle system.

Battle[]

Battling is done using a real-time turn-based battle system. The player initiates combat by selecting a roaming enemy or walking near an aggressive enemy. The three Digimon set as the player's active Digimon appear together on the field to face one to three enemies. Each of the player's Digimon has a default attack that will be performed if no differing commands are given. Non-default attacks cost more SP (skill points) to use but have greater effects, either hitting multiple times, dealing more damage, or inflicting a status condition. When an attack is selected from any Digimon's available moves, the action will slow down. Once the command has been issued, time will resume at its previous pace.

Only the first Digimon in the player's party will automatically revive if it falls in battle; this does not restore its HP. Other Digimon must be revived using items.

Digivolving[]

Digimon from the Rookie stage and beyond can digivolve once they reach their stage's level cap. Once a Digimon reaches level cap, an alert will appear on the player's screen, after which the player can speak with Bokomon in the Village of Beginnings, select the Digimon in question, and perform the digivolution.

Most species of Digimon can evolve to multiple higher Digimon, with the specific digivolution of an individual being determined by random chance. Items[please confirm] allow the player to modify the probability of obtaining specific digivolutions. There is a 5% chance that the Digimon will instead turn into a "Mutant" Digimon, with the same name and appearance of its original form (i.e. Tentomon turns into Tentomon[MUTANT]) but noticeably larger. Mutant Digimon have increased stats and possess the same level cap of their target stage (i.e. a Mutant Rookie will have the level cap of a Champion). Mutant Digimon cannot digivolve further until they are cured of their mutation using a mutant cure[please confirm] item.
