Digimon: Source Code is a Chinese exclusive game developed by Baidu Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Shanghai for Smartphones.[1] . Although the game is exclusive to China, Bandai Japan have posted about it on the official Digimon website and social media using the name Digimon: Source Code (デジモン:ソースコード Dejimon: Sōsukōdo?).[2]
Development[]
Digimon: Source Code was announced on December 8, 2021. It suffered a troubled development period, with the deletion of its website and social media pages in April 2022 sparking fears that it was cancelled, but Baidu reaffirmed commitment in July 2023,[3] eventually releasing after several betas in April 25, 2025.[2] The game was ultimately short-lived, with Baidu announcing in November 2025 that the game was scheduled to shut down in January 2026.[4]
Features[]
Digimon: Source Code uses physically based rendering to render its graphics and character models. By using this the game adds detail and realism to the characters, environments, and maps. For example it emphasizes the hair of Gabumon’s fur or the shine of WarGreymon’s armor.[5]
The game features more than 300 playable Digimon.[5]
