Close (クローズ Kurōzu?) is a character in Digimon Liberator. Her partner is Sunarizamon and she plays a Mineral OTK deck.[1]

Description[]

Appearance[]

Etymologies[]

Close (クローズ)

Name used in promotional material for the Digimon Card Game. No official romanization available. It presumably isn't her real name.

  • (En:) Close. The kanji in her name includes "Kurō (クロ?)", with "Kuro" in Japanese meaning Black. This seemingly references her black dress and black deck. Her name can also be translated as Crows (after the animal), and Crows are black.

Fiction[]

Digimon Liberator[]

Close is a member of the Digimon Liberator debug team. Though part of the team, she was known for not actually doing much debug team work. Select Few (Part 2)

Shortly after Shoto and Arisa login to Liberator, Close and Shoemon are pursued to the Emerald Coast by a Bulucomon-possessed Frozen Knight. Their clash blows a hole in a wall, landing them right beside Shoto Kazama and Arisa Kinosaki and startling Shoto as Close escapes. DigitalGate Open

Just before Liberator's week long maintenance, Close surveils Shota and Arisa from atop a building in Jewel. REAL (Part 1)

When Shoto and Arisa are inducted into the debug team, Close is in the audience. She is recognized by Shoto, though he denies this to Cool Boy. Select Few (Part 1)

Close was in the Obsidian Desert around the same time debug team were alerted to a rogue NPC that was supposedly there. Whilst there, she was attacked by three Deep Savers NPCs who all challenged her to a duel. Feeling she would be unable to defeat all three of them, she is spared the fate of having to duel them all as Owen Dreadnought and Shoto show up and decide to help her by turning the duel into a 3v3. Close apologizes to the duo, telling them that the trio of NPCs were actually just regular NPCs that had all challenged her at the same time and weren't the out of control NPC they were looking for though Owen points out that even if they're not out of control, there is no storyline content in the game that requires a 3v3 duel so something is still wrong and so should still be investigated by the debug team. Select Few (Part 2)

Owen and Shoto win their duels, and as only two of the there duellist had to win for their team to be declared victors — the result of Close's duel no longer mattered. The duo watch the rest of her duel, with Shoto worried over how badly she seemed to be doing since she had nearly ran out of security shields. Owen tells him to shut up and watch as he's certain she will win. Chain of Liberation (Part 1)
