Chuumon is an Animal Digimon. It is a rat-like Digimon that is always feeding Sukamon with unscrupulous thoughts. It has forged a strong friendship with Sukamon (that said, it might be only Chuumon that thinks this?), after a past incident where Chuumon was caught in a Carnivore system trap placed on the Network, and was saved by Sukamon who just happened to be passing by. While it is generally cowardly, its cunning is unparalleled and it will dash away to safety at the first sign of danger.[4] Chuumon does not fight and is always coaxing Sukamon into performing bad deeds.[5]
Attacks
- Cheese Bomb (チーズ爆弾?): Throws a cheese-shaped bomb. Mistakenly eating it will result in the unthinkable.
- Tell a Lie: Whispers words to make the enemy lose the will to fight.
- Friendly Junk Attack (友情のウンチ投げ Yūjou no Unchi Nage?, lit. "Friendly Poop Throw"): Throws a pile of junk.
- Crunchy Munchy (ガシガシ Gashigashi?, lit. "Boisterousness"): Munches on the enemy with its huge front teeth.

Chuumon is a bipedal rat-like creature with pink fur, large ears, and black eyes. It has five digits on each hand and foot with black nails.
Some Chuumon are found alongside Sukamon or PlatinumSukamon, their close friend.

When it and its friends were in the City three Eosmon (Ultimate) suddenly jump out of the nearby DigiDestined's phones and attack them in the hopes stealing their consciousnesses so that they could take them to the Never World where they would live inside their partner's memories forever. Chuumon, and its friends Floramon and Gazimon, fight back however, and after digivolving to Tyrannomon, Vegiemon, and Leomon manage to survive long enough to not get kidnapped, the Eosmon turning into data after the main one is defeated in the Never World.

One of the Chuumon steals cheese from a Damemon and ChuuChuumon though they eventually catch up to it. Chuumon begs for mercy, hoping it would be spared as it was a rat just like ChuuChuumon though ChuuChuumon states that it is was offended it shared such a commonality with it. Just as Damemon was about to attack Chuumon, it notices Loogamon (Mindlinked with Eiji Nagasumi), who happened to be nearby, and tells it that if it doesn't leave its turf by the time it was done killing Chuumon, it would kill him next. Loogamon laughs at the fact that a rat would challenge a dog and approaches Damemon, ready to fight. Eiji: Wolf of the Ninth Avenue Chapter 1-10
After Loogamon defeats Damemon, Chuumon approaches it and apologizes for not having recognized the legendary great boss of the Castle of Nine Wolves. Chuumon offers its services to Loogamon and asks where it had been, as it had heard it had either been killed by an assassin or kidnapped by a human. Loogamon sees this as disrespect and tells it that neither of those things would happen, and that it had not told Chuumon that it could speak to it — causing Chuumon to apologize in fear. Loogamon still ends up accepting Chuumon as its new minion though, since it looked tastier than ChuuChuumon, and asks if anyone else thought those things had happened to it. Chuumon asserts that it was only a rumour but that everyone from Ninth Avenue had deserted it following Loogamon's disappearance. Loogamon gives Chuumon some real world meat as an allowance, which it accepts — after which it flees in fear of the dog with both the meat and the cheese it had stolen from Damemon and ChuuChuumon.
