Boltboutamon is a Wizard Digimon. It is the vilest, most wicked Digimon through which the "Malevolent Fist" (Grudgeful Hand), born from the malice data that the Dark Area overflows with, served as the source of evil that caused Myotismon to be forcibly absorbed into Piedmon. It lacks Piedmon and Myotismon's sense of self, and acts according to the intentions clenched by the "Malevolent Fist". Those intentions are the eradication of light, so as to corrode the world with darkness.[4]
Attacks
- Pernicious Waltz[5] (Palazzi Valzer, (Ita: "Palaces' Waltz"): Multiplies the "Spiedini" (Ita: "Skewers") swords it carries on its waist using magic, and sends them flying. It takes pleasure in its methods of slowly torturing the enemy and causing them to be in agony, and finally ends their life by sending them flying from all directions simultaneously, calling it its grand finale.
- Quartzione: The bullets fired by its two "Ala di Pollo" (Ita: "Chicken Wing") guns lodge themselves inside the enemy's body, attacking and annihilating them from within.

Boltboutamon is one of the few Digimon to debut in the west before Japan, as it was a new Digimon created specifically for the western remaster of Digimon World: Next Order, which didn't release in Japan until a month after the western version.

During Reina Oumi's duel with Suzune Kazuki, Reina, shortly after playing EX8-062: Piedmon ACE and Meramon, activates the effect of EX8-060: Myotismon, which allows two of the Digimon on her field to DNA digivolve in to a Nightmare Soldiers Digimon and then attack as a Nightmare Soldiers Digimon was just played. She uses this effect to DNA digivolve Piedmon and Myotismon into EX8-064: Boltboutamon. Due to the prior effect of EX8-023: PolarBearmon, Myotismon had been locked out of using its effects and unsuspending but as Boltboutamon counted as a new Digimon, it was not under these restrictions despite digivolving from Myotismon. Reina can use its on digivolving effect to de-digivolve one of Suzune's Digimon three times, with all of her Digimon losing 6000DP. There are no targets for these effects, however. Its DNA Digivolving effects allows her to play any combination of Nightmare Soldiers Digimon for free from the Trash as long as their Play Costs don't exceed a combined total of 10. She uses this to revive SkullMeramon. The previous effect continues, allowing Boltboutamon to attack. Reina activates the inherited When Attacking effect of Myotismon, deleting Meramon to allow Boltboutamon to unsuspend. This activates Boltaboutamon's once per turn effect, in which when a Digimon is deleted Suzune has to trash one of her security cards — dropping her to 3. Boltboutamon's attack goes through, and as it unsuspended she attacks a second time — Suzune having lost 3 security cards via the attacks and effect. Suzune moves EX7-021: CrysPaledramon from the Breeding Area to the Battle Area and then pays 4 memory to digivolve it to EX7-023: Hexeblaumon. Hexeblaumon's When Digivolving effect activates, trashing four digivolution sources from Reina's Digimon — and as one of those was Piedmon ACE, its Overflow ability activates causing Reina to lose 4 memory. Digimon World: Next Order[]
For Boltboutamon to be available, the DLC EX Scenario "From the Malevolent Fist" must be first be downloaded to the base game. Boltboutamon is a Dark Virus type, Yellow Mega level Digimon and can be DNA digivolved from Piedmon and Myotismon. Yellow Mega level Digimon can't poop but if Piedmon's experiment maxes the poop gauge, it will digivolve into PlatinumSukamon or Sukamon. Until the main antagonist Boltboutamon is defeated at the end of the EX Scenario "From the Malevolent Fist", the DNA Digivolution cannot be attempted at all.
