Blastmon is one of the Three Head Officers of the Bagra Army in Digimon Fusion.[1] He is a trigger-happy antagonist with a childish mentality, and is one of the three former leaders of the Bagra Army.

Appearance

He has disproportionally large arms and hands embedded in metallic gloves and a mighty tail with a crystal orb at its end that can act as a massive club. Although not quite as big as his forelimbs, his legs and feet are also quite strong and sturdy and are reinforced with crystals and metallic footwears. A large black and red cape is worn at his back. His size is in a super-heavyweight class.

Personality

Blastmon keeps eating gems, crystals and diamonds to make his body more shiny, and he keeps looking for good "foods". However, after using his Diamond Machine Gun attack, his body will turn grayish. He is slow minded and tends to forget what he was about to do. Blastmon, however, does show signs of high intellect at times and is a competent commander and successful in spreading the influence of the Bagra Army throughout the Digital World by conquering 22 of its Zones.

Description

Blastmon is a super-heavyweight Digimon with a mineral body. He is clad in a hard crystal armor that regenerates when broken, and boasts a number of various, powerful techniques. Because of his glittering body and power, he calls himself the "most beautiful, sublime creature." Although his "Crystal Breath" has the weakness of only being usable in daytime, the destructive power it displays more than makes up for its faults.[2]

As one of the Three Head Officers, Blastmon oversees the progress of SkullScorpiomon and Musyamon. He is also attended by a troupe of Vilemon.

Blastmon makes himself known to Xros Heart when they land on top of him when trying to avoid SkullScorpiomon. After his Vilemon assistants tell him that the boy with the red Fusion Loader is on top of him, and the group jumps off him. Shortly afterwards, SkullScorpiomon lands on top of him, annoying him greatly. He later orders the Vilemon to get a rag to clean him as the sand has made his crystals dull. After one of the SkullScorpiomons inform him that Xros Heart has found an entrance to great treasure, he follows them. As Xros Heart reaches the next obstacle, he arrives, propelling himself to the door, not noticing where he is going and crashes into a rock wall, falling into the water. Later, Blastmon is held off by Nene Amano and Sparrowmon before Kiriha Aonuma arrives and sics Cyberdramon on Blastmon. When Cyberdramon attacks him with "Glutton Fang", wrapping him within the ribs, he asks if Cyberdramon likes him. Treasure, Traps, and Trouble - Oh, My! He finally uses "Diamond Machine Gun" to fight them off. Mikey, Warrior of the Light!

Sometime later, he fights Kiriha again, this time on Disc Zone. Most of his army is demolished by Blue Flare but he puts up a fight against MetalGreymon and absorbs some of his minions to power up. However, Kiriha DigiXroses MetalGreymon with Deckerdramon to form DeckerGreymon, who obliterates what remains of his army and then takes on Blastmon himself. Amazingly, Blastmon pushes DeckerGreymon back, still seeming to have the upper hand up until Shoutmon X4K arrives on the scene. Tired of childplay, Blastmon and DeckerGreymon charge their most powerful attacks and fire at each other, resulting in a colossal explosion that brings the battle to an early close and a draw with Blastmon falling off from the battlefield. Zone Collapse! The Sparking Taiki and Kiriha!

Despite his blunder back at the Disc Zone, Blastmon attempts to track down both Blue Flare and Xros Heart by utilizing copies of himself that are spawned from his own crystal fragments, which the two armies have obliviously carried with them while fleeing the doomed Disc Zone. He fails to pinpoint Kiriha's whereabouts (who has realized what is happening and destroys the fragments) but manages to locate Xros Heart at the Shinobi Zone. After turning down Tactimon's assistance and setting out on his own to deal with Xros Heart personally, Blastmon's efforts are only for naught as he is beaten by a freshly digifused Shoutmon X5B. His defeat not only leaves him incapacitated without a body, but he also loses all of his Code Crowns to Xros Heart as well and he is demoted from his position as Head Officer.
