A group of Betamon live together in a village known for having beautiful flowers. They lived happily together and played with each other every day. One day an Ogremon comes across the Betamon village and originally assuming it was an abandoned field decided to take all the flowers. After learning the Betamon live there it becomes pissed off that the Betamon had found them first and decides to kill them all so it could have the flowers for itself. After Ogremon beats up some of its friends, one of the Betamon summons up the courage to fight, suddenly digivolves to Dinohyumon, and defeats Ogremon. Ogremon, realising it can't have the flowers decides that if it can't have them, no one can – and destroys them and then leaves, swearing it would one day get revenge on Dinohyumon. The other Betamon celebrate Dinohyumon's digivolution, happy that as it was so powerful it could protect the village from Ogremon if it ever showed up again. Dinohyumon however, was a coward, and didn't want to do this so left the village stating it would get new flowers to replace the old ones though this was just an excuse to leave. Ogremon one day returns and attacks the village and was now even more powerful, having absorbed many flowers all over the Digital World. Dinohyumon returns just in time before any of them are killed though Ogremon uses its new power to warp digivolve to Titamon and defeat Dinohyumon. The Betamon tell it that it is being dumb and that they know it's a coward but that it digivolved to save them and can also be amazing, as well as a coward and that they all just want to continue being friends. The Betamon apologise for putting pressure on it and they all become friends again, then restore the flower field to its full former glory. A Bouquet Bundled with Affection

When Aoi Shibuya is kidnapped by Dokugumon, the rest of the group look for her. When they do, they come across two Betamon. Takuma Momozuka talks to one of them in battle and is able to convince it to become friends with the group, which has it decide to accompany them on their journey.

When the children travel through the waterway on their way to infiltrate the enemy base, Arukenimon follows them. When she's discovered she creates a thick gas, knocking them all out. She has her minions, a Betamon included, pretend to be fake versions of the Kemonogami partners who insult them and even try to kill them, though the children are able to figure out that they were fake and not their actual partners since they would do those things. Upon being discovered as fakes, Betamon and the other fake partners reveal their true forms and attack the real versions, though are defeated, with this happening multiple times to each kid (Shuuji Kayama being the sole exception, as he instead saw fake versions of his Father).

This doesn't happen in the truthful route.

After the children see Wendigomon kill Shuuji Kayama, they begin to distrust their own partners. As they travel through the forest they are attacked by group of Betamon, with the partners protecting the kids. Minoru Hinata thought the Betamon were acting weird, and assumes the partners were in collusion with the Betamon to try and kill the children and doubles down on this view when Falcomon points out that makes no sense.

Betamon can evolve to Deltamon, Seadramon, and Tuskmon. If Takuma Momozuka is able to befriend a Betamon and asks it for an item, it will give him a Bandage.
